Adorable Clothes that Make Diaper Changes Simple
When my children were younger and in diapers I wish that I had heard of Zip It. I hated diaper changes when they were babies because I hated having to go through the process of taking their clothes off and putting them back on. Thanks to the makers of Zip It this can be easier for moms and babies alike.
Tips for Easy Diaper Changes
Changing diapers can be overwhelming and really is not something that is always fun. It can be a real challenge but there are some things that you can do to make these easier for you.
- Have Changing Stations Throughout the House
One of the best things that you can do to make diaper changing easier throughout your home is to make sure that changing stations are available. These do not have to be full out changing tables but a basket with an extra receiving blanket, diapers, wipes, powder, and cream will help you to make sure that you can change baby’s diapers no matter where you are at.
- Learn the Art of Distraction
Learning what will entertain your baby while you are changing his or her diapers is something that can really save you a ton of time and heartache over time. It is important that you be able to distract him or her so that they are comfortable and lay somewhat still while you are changing diapers.
- Wash Your Hands Every Time
Most people wash their hands after they change their baby. However it is just as important to wash your hands before you change your baby. Germs are always present on your hands so you want to kill those germs before you change your baby. Then you will need to make sure that you wash them after you have finished changing baby.
- Make Sure that Changing Areas are Safe
Use proper safety every time that you are changing your baby. Do not walk away from changing tables or leave baby lying on a couch or chair. You never know when baby is going to choose to roll over for the first time and you do not want baby to fall and hurt himself or herself.
- If Something is not Working Try Something New
If you find that baby is throwing a fit each and every time that you are trying to change his or her diapers then you will have to relax some and make sure that it is not just the environment. Try moving your changing station somewhere else and see if that helps.
- Make Sure You are Prepared
Finally always have everything that you could need. I do not know how many times I thought that I was only going to be changing a wet diaper to find out that I needed wet wipes and did not have them. So make sure that you have everything with you every time that you are changing your little one.
Finding the right clothes can also help and Zip It really has the best options available for you. Not only are the clothing items high quality but they are also beautifully crafted and bright gorgeous colors.
I was lucky enough to get the following:
The Happy Playsuit (retails for $42.00)
I love this adorable playsuit but sadly I am not able to use it for my daughter because she is too big. I do hope to give it to a family member and to have her beautiful daughter be my model for an upcoming post.
Dreamsicle Blanket (retails for $48.00)
Adeline loves the “popcicle” blanket as she calls it. The material is thick and high quality, super soft and comfortable and I find her cuddling and holding the blanket on a regular basis.
Don’t take my word for it though when you can order your own Zip It and love them too.
