Now I ask you, who doesn’t like pie? March 14th is National Pi Day. Pi Day is celebrated on March 14th (3/14) around the world. Pi (Greek letter “π”) is the symbol used in mathematics to represent a constant — the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter — which is approximately 3.14159. In celebration of National Pi Day, Wholly Wholesome sent me coupons to try some of their naturally wholicious products for the purpose of this review.
March 14th is Pi Day
I am always excited to try organic and natural foods and constantly shop for the freshest and all natural foods because I think they are much better for you and your health. There are so many foods today that are full of GMOs and have absolutely zero taste so manufactures doctor them up with all sorts of additives and junk just so you will eat it.
A perfect example of GMO products is I purchased a dozen ears of sweet corn that looked really nice. Brought them home and cooked two ears for supper that night. First bite was like biting into cardboard even with some lovely butter, salt and pepper. So I thought OK, I will just feed it to the squirrels that I have in the back yard and they came running when they seen the ears of corn on the feeder but their first bite was the same as mine. The squirrels would not eat it either and then I thought OK, once again, maybe the raccoons would chow down on the ears of corn but they would not eat it either. So my point is if your foods are not Wholly Wholesome made from all natural ingredients you could be eating paper which is a by-product of trees. Kind of makes you feel like a beaver huh?
For Pi day, I decided to try the Wholly Wholesome Traditional Organic Pie Shells and have a go at making a banana cream pie. The pie shells come frozen and 2 to a package made with Organic Wheat Flour, Organic Palm Oil, Water, Organic Cane Sugar and Sea Salt.
The banana cream pie turned out lovely and taste awesome. The Wholly Wholesome Traditional Organic Pie Shell was very tasty and very flaky and did not absorb any excess liquid from the pudding. In fact this pie was perfect and something else you really can’t stop eating.
Wholly Wholesome has Gluten Free items as well as organic products. In addition to receiving the Traditional Organic Pie Shells, I also received a package of 12 Cinnamon Crumblettes which were absolutely delicious and melt in your mouth. I think these could become habit forming quite easily.
If you are looking for that perfect pie crust, I suggest Wholly Wholesome Traditional Organic Pie Shells and all their other products. Check out Facebook, Twitter, You Tube, Pinterest and Instagram and have a look at Wholly Wholesome. How about just picking up a pie if you don’t like to bake.
