I can honestly say there is not a day that goes by that someone in my home doesn’t eat Kraft® Singles or OSCAR MAYER®. There is six of us in the house, which means everyone always likes something that someone else doesn’t, so mom needs to get creative.
It’s hard to believe the kids have been back in school for over a month, and we are nearing Halloween. WOW, right after Halloween I leave for LA to attend a red carpet event for the release of Thor The Dark World. Needless to say I am thrilled to have this opportunity, but there is so many things to think about before I leave.
Of course the first thing that comes to my mind is making sure my kids are cared for each and every day, but someone I know and trust. Thankfully my husband is taking off work for me to go, which means this mom has to go grocery shopping and have easy meals planned each and every day so the kids don’t eat frozen pizza every day that I am gone. OMG, or worse take frozen pizza to school for lunch!
I know my husband, and I’m thankful he will cook. However I know him well enough to know he isn’t going to cook like I would when I am gone, so I need to make things easy for lunch as well as dinner. Luckily I can pick up Kraft® Singles and OSCAR MAYER® Premium Deli Meat at Sam’s Club. You can make so many different, tasty things with Kraft® Singles and OSCAR MAYER® Premium Deli Meat.
Simple, easy, and equally yummy Grilled Cheese sandwich. Personally I like my Grilled Cheese hot, but my kids prefer their cold. Kraft® Singles makes one amazing Grilled Cheese sandwich, and if you are feeling a little crazy add your favorite OSCAR MAYER® Premium Deli Meat!
My two oldest girls love Kraft® Singles Grilled Cheese with Pickles. I have to admit that I don’t care for it to much, but my kids always add pickles to their Grilled Cheese using Kraft® Singles.
My husband goes crazy when I sent him to school, OH I mean work with Grilled Cheese with Kraft® Singles and OSCAR MAYER® Bacon.
Piggy’s in a Blanket is another family favorite, not only for lunch but after school snacks too. OSCAR MAYER® hotdogs wrapped in Kraft® singles and crescent rolls, you cannot go wrong. My husband will not eat hotdogs, unless they are made this way. See perfect for kids of all ages – it’s all in the Kraft® singles.
Quesadilla’s are another easy and yummy lunch idea. Grab your favorite OSCAR MAYER® Premium Deli Meat, Kraft® Singles, Tortilla, butter, and grill until your Kraft®Singles are melted and your tortilla is nice and crispy. YUMMY!
My all-time favorite takes a little longer to make, but every last second is worth it. Check it out, it’s the best sandwich anyone could ask for
- Kraft® Singles
- OSCAR MAYER® Premium Deli Meat (personal favorite is Turkey Breast)
- OSCAR MAYER® Bacon
- Green Chili
- Avocado
- 2 slices of your favorite bread, or hoagie bun
- Add your choice of Mayo, Ranch Dressing, or Mustard
Instructions:
- First add your favorite condiment(s). Personally I love adding Ranch Dressing.
- Next you will add 1-2 slices of Kraft® Singles, 3-5 slices of your favorite OSCAR MAYER® Premium Deli Meat, 2 OSCAR MAYER® Bacon, green chili, and avocado on your bread or hoagie bun.
Tip: You can also grill this similar to how you would a grilled cheese and it’s amazing. The only thing you do differently is add the avocado and your choice of condiment after you have grilled your sandwich.
How do you get creative using Kraft® Singles and OSCAR MAYER® Premium Deli Meats?
I think my husband will have an easy enough time taking care of everything while I am gone thanks to Kraft® and OSCAR MAYER® Premium Deli Meats, and nobody will get sick of having the same old thing day after day. And mom is happy nobody is eating Frozen Pizza while she is away. It’s a win-win situation!

Forget the kids, those pig in a blanket snacks are awesome. I’d def use turkey meat.
GREAT post! I recently had this discussion with some church friends. She left on business only to come back to a fridge full of snack packs and sugary cereals on top. Too funny!
Great easy recipes with kraft products and easy to prepare by anyone in quick steps and in time.
It looks great
It sounds like you’ve got it covered. Have fun and enjoy! I can’t wait to read the review and see the photos.
My kids loved the mummy dogs it was easy and fun. fun recipies and easy to put together .Going to try theses piggies in a blanket.
My husband’s way of feeding the children when I was gone was take-out! Nice that your husband will actually cook. I’m kind of gagging on the thought of cold grilled cheese with pickles, though! Enjoy southern California.
Great recipe – but I would toast the whole thing – like the sub shops – before serving – yum!
What a great blog. I am sure he will do fine. I recently had to travel for work and my husband did great!!!! HAVE FAITH !!!
I love some of these ideas, but I have to agree…….no pickle with the grilled cheese. LOL I eat mine with ketchup and most people think that is grose, so I guess to each their own.
