Now Go and Swim with EzyDog
Most schools have held their graduation ceremonies already, or will be doing so within a few short weeks. This means it is vacation time. And because your dog is a member of your family, more than likely you will take him/her with you, if at all possible. Some of the activities you might like to do on vacation is sight-seeing, visit an amusement park, or hiking. Since the weather will be much more pleasant, you will want to have some fun in the sun with water activities, such as swimming and boating, as well. Does your dog love the water? I think most do, but for those that don’t have the confidence needed for water activities, EzyDog is there to help.
The first experience with water for my dog, Big Red, was actually with rain water. He hated getting wet. When he was a puppy, I had to go outside with him every time it rained in order to get him to do his business. This consisted of my holding an umbrella over this head so he would not get wet – well, you get the picture. Is he spoiled, or what? His next experience was jumping into the hot tub. I’m not sure if it was the shock of the temperature of the water, or the mere volume of water, but for a long time Big Red would not go near any body of water. However, this all ended on a boating trip some time later, when Big Red ventured, once again, into the water by jumping off the side of the boat. Luckily, we were anchored at the time. Of course, like his human counterparts, he was wearing a life vest to save him. Now every time we go near the lake or ocean, one of the first things that Big Red does is to jump in, more so to get at the ducks in the lake than to cool off. Big Red has since outgrown that life vest, among others, but that’s okay because although I thought the life vests that I had purchased were quality products, they weren’t, since none of them supported his head very well. That is why I was so thankful to EzyDog who allowed me to review their Doggy Floatation Vest.
The EzyDog Floatation Vests are top performing floatation devices with the comfort of life vest versatility. The EzyDog Doggy Floatation Vest is made with up to 50% more floatation material to keep your dog safe in the water. It contains a grab handle to make it easy to guide your dog in or out of the water, as well. As with most of the EzyDog products, the Doggy Floatation Vest has adjustable neoprene straps to form an ergonomic fit, as well as reflective detailing to provide better nighttime safety. The vest also has a sturdy nylon D-ring for use with your leash, as well as two pockets on the top of the vest for treats or miscellaneous items.
Built from high performance materials, the Doggy Floatation Vest is sturdy and can withstand heavy use by your dog, both in and out of the water. The bouyant materials are strategically placed in order to keep your dog in a natural swimming position, unlike my former life vests that Big Red has outgrown.
The EzyDog Doggy Floatation Vest is available in either a red or yellow color and is available in a variety of sizes from XS to XL. Check the EzyDog web site for size and fitting instructions though. Normally, Big Red, wears a medium size harness, but a small in the Doggy Floatation Vest. The following picture was taken prior to wearing the vest in the water, so it is still a bit rigid, although Big Red wore the vest around the house for a couple of hours and didn’t balk about it at all. He had so much fun in the water. Unfortunately, I could not hold on to the leash and snap a picture at the same time. Since Big Red loves the water now, he kept my hands quite busy.
Of course, EzyDog has lots of other quality products from which to choose, such as collars, harnesses, and the like. You can purchase the EzyDog Doggy Floatation Vest or any of their other fine products directly through the EzyDog website, or check out the dealer locations on the company’s website to see if there is a dealer near you. Just key in your zip code to find a listing of the closest store near you.
Just in time for all the summer water activities, EzyDog’s Doggy Floatation Vest is the best life vest that I have owned for Big Red, and because it is adjustable, he can wear this vest for several years. The placement of the floatation materials give him confidence in the water that he once lacked. The vest fits perfectly to allow Big Red to swim in comfort, yet is comfortable enough to allow him to wear it when he is not in the water. If you love your best four-legged friend as much as I know you do, you will want the very best life vest for him/her, and that is the EzyDog Doggy Floatation Vest.
