OMG, I’ve Died and Gone to Cookie Heaven with Mrs. Fields

Thanks to BektromFoodsInc. who recently introduced 2 new mixes to their line of products: Mrs. Fields Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix and Mrs. Fields Sugar Cookie with Sprinkles Mix.  In doing so, there is no longer a need to make that special trip to your shopping mall to get these delicious cookies, as you can now purchase these mixes at your local dollar store.

For years, when I went shopping at the mall with my children, as a special treat, we would always stop by the store that baked Mrs. Fields cookies.  None other would do.  It had to be Mrs. Fields cookies or none at all.  And, as my children grew older, they carried on the same tradition with their families.

Just the smell of a freshly baked Mrs. Fields cookie is out of this world and makes my mouth water just talking about it.  It brings back so many pleasant memories of my childhood when I would help my mother bake her cookies. 

Well, now you can get that same freshly baked cookie, just like the ones from the mall, right in your own kitchen with Mrs. Fields Cookie Mixes.  In fact, Mrs. Fields is introducing two new additions to her line of tremendous cookie mixes:  Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix and Sugar Cookie with Sprinkles.

Okay, I will admit that I prefer to a soft cookie when I indulge.  After baking both mixes, of course I had to taste test a couple from each mix.  I could not tell any difference between the cookies that I purchased from the store in the mall and Mrs. Fields cookie mixes that I made at home.  In comparing the two, both were soft, chewy and scrumptious!  Even those individuals who prefer a crispier cookie will love these tasty mixes.

The process was easy.  You need very few utensils to make these mixes, and just two additional ingredients:  egg and margarine (or soft butter).  For the Chocolate Chip Mix, 1 tablespoon of margarine was needed¸ whereas the Sugar Cookie with Sprinkles Mix needed 4 tablespoons of margarine.  Both mixes, however, required only 1 egg, and took just a few minutes to mix up the dough using your mixer.  You would then proceed to drop a teaspoon of dough onto an ungreased cookie sheet.  Baking time is approximately 8 – 10 minutes, depending on the temperature of your oven.  Let the cookies rest on the cookie sheet for 5 minutes after baking and then transfer to your serving dish.

Mrs. Fields Chocolate Chip Cookies – While the box indicated that the mix yields 10 cookies, I got 12 cookies; however, I did add some raisins to the mix, which was optional, thus the extra bulk resulting in the extra 2 cookies.  You can also add nuts, if you desire.

Mrs. Fields Sugar Cookies with Sprinkles – Like the Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix, I was able to get 2 extra cookies from this mix.  The box indicates that the mix yields 12 cookies.  I account for the extra cookies as a few of the cookies did not contain a full rounded teaspoon of dough.

Gone is the day of adding the sprinkles just prior to baking your cookies or immediately afterwards.  Mrs. Fields Sugar Cookies with Sprinkles Mix has the sprinkles right in the mix.  Thus, saving you time and the mess of all of those sprinkles on your countertop.
