PBS is a long standing TV station in my household. I don’t know about you but PBS has great TV shows for parents and children that greatly entertain. PBS has been around for almost 50 years now and has from the start delivered great content for all their audience. They have great content for children, they are always fun especially while being educative for our young ones. PBS released on October 10 a new DVD called “PBS KIDS: HAPPY BIRTHDAY” which features some of our children’s favorite characters in a great, stress-free birthday packaging.
I love this DVD because it is made of a great compilation of 10 episodes ranging from Wild Kratts, Daniel Tiger to Odd Squad, Arthur and more. This is a great gift that comes in a cardboard box that opens up to be a birthday card and you can sign it with the name of the person giving the gift and to whom it is being given on the outside, making gift wrapping unnecessary. On the card you have Arthur and Buddy from Dinosaur wishing well wishes to the lucky Birthday child. I love that this is a gift and card in one. The variety of shows is great as you have 10 episodes to delight any child. Each episode has some learning factors making it a great choice for screen time.
We received the PBS Kids Happy Birthday. I loved the quantity of episodes and variety of shows on this DVD. My favorite part however, was the design of this box gift and my kids loved it as well. They loved pointing out at all the different characters, having me read the birthday message and pointing out the festivity arrangements. Their favorite episodes was the Super Why: Cookbook problem. I like the exposure to letters and phonetics on this show. Yes, there is a Caillou episode in here. I am not their biggest fan but the episode in here is really good in that Caillou is thinking of a gift for Mrs. Martin and really works hard at thinking of a gift she would like versus what he would like. He makes her a gift with the help of his two friends and his sister, which was very nice.
