What would you say to a Peanut Butter Chocolate Protein Coffee Smoothie? Sounds good, right? My husband told me I was crazy, but it’s only because he’s a hot coffee drinker 99.9% of the time. He can drink hot coffee in the afternoon when it’s 100 degrees outside. I don’t’ know how he does it, but I am thankful for his love for hot coffee in the mornings, lol.
If there is one thing I love each morning, it’s waking up to the smell of my husband brewing coffee. It’s a scent that I’ve woken up to my whole life even before I started drinking coffee. I love hot coffee every morning if it’s cold outside, but during the summer it’s hit and miss. However, when the hot summer afternoon rolls around there isn’t anything like a tasty iced coffee. And thanks to the NEW Caribou Premium Iced Coffee we can have our coffee and drink it cold without all the extra work. Just grab it and go, how sweet is that? It does get better, if you haven’t tried the NEW Caribou Premium Iced Coffee yet you’ll understand once you do. It’s AWESOME right out of the bottle while you are flying out the door or pretty delish in this Peanut Butter Chocolate Protein Coffee Smoothie recipe.
I could just hug the person who decided to try iced coffee that’s easy when you are on the go but also good enough to make something like the protein coffee smoothie lol.
Peanut Butter Chocolate Protein Coffee Smoothie
To make the coffee protein smoothie you’ll need the following ingredients:
- 1 bottle (14 ounces) Caribou Chocolate Mocha Iced Coffee
- 3 – 4 Tablespoons creamy peanut butter
- 1 teaspoon coconut oil
- 1 1/2 teaspoon chia seeds
- 1 cup of ice
- ½ frozen banana (optional)
- 1 scoop chocolate protein powder
Making the coffee protein smoothie is super easy, check it out:
- Combine all the above ingredients in your blender on medium to low until everything is combined.
Tip: I like my smoothies with a lot of ice, so I always add more. If you want a thicker smoothie just add more ice or even better the night before you can pour a bottle of Caribou Chocolate Mocha Iced Coffee into an ice tray and let the coffee freeze. When you get ready to combine everything you’ll still put ice, but I would only put the ½ cup at most. If you need more, you can add slowly.

If you prefer a less sweet smoothie, you can leave out the honey. Add more peanut butter for a stronger peanut butter taste. Add more milk to make the smoothie thinner, if desired. Add 1 cup of your favorite greens for added nutrition. So many ways to play around with this simple smoothie! And hey, guess what? Feel free to go all green on me. Add a handful of greens like spinach or kale. You absolutely won t be able to taste them underneath all the peanut butter and chocolate tastes.
