Netflix recently released on May 5th, 2018 Pup Star: World Tour for streaming as part of the Air Bud franchise. Air Bud has had a long run and been very loved by the public. The pups are adorable and the story lines are fun. This movie revolves around Tiny a singing Yorkie who has won the show Pup Star and is traveling the world on a fun filled musical adventure. We get to see all kinds of pups and fun scenes with Tiny and her family.
My family enjoyed the diverse musical songs on this film. This film follows the two other successful films that started the Pup Star series, PupStar and Pup Star: Better 2Gether. The cast they selected for the pup voices are great and were very entertaining for my kids. The accompanying suitcase brought additional fun and excitement over this movie. Both my kids are too small to really make a recipe, so we opted on making cookie shapes with the AirPup aprons, rolling pin, cookie shapes and other cooking utensils. Although, the other utensils were not a big deal to my kids, they were for me. I loved the quality and texture. They on the other hand, loved the doggy biscuits that came in the box and were extra affectionate with our doggies that week. I loved the love Tiny’s person, Lou , had for her which is very relatable to how kids feel for their pets. overall mingling and movie effects that made my children believe things were happening on the screen that aren’t very real but were fun.
Watching Pup Star: World Tour was great, accompanied by an awesome adventure suitcase, it led to a lot of talk about dogs and special treatment for our dogs at home by my kids. The film was filled with fun puppy pop and rap puppy music. My kids enjoyed watching the dogs on stage with their little outfits and kept laughing at their singing. They got pulled into Tiny’s and Scrappy’s drama and loved talking about the kind of dogs in the movie as well as laughing at their different voices and enjoying their musical talent and disliking the cat gang. Of course to small kids like mine, the special effects were out of this world, from the beginning when Tiny is on a magic carpet and everything in between like dogs talking. My son’s favorite competition puppy was Ming while my daughter’s favorite was Mobo. The best part was the overall family feel to the movie and Lou’s love for the dogs. You get an overall family feel from the humans and dog pack as well.
