Raspberry Bars are a favorite in my home. It is a summertime favorite. When I make these, we will have them after dinner for dessert. I add a scoop of vanilla ice cream to each person’s serving. The ice cream melted a little against the warm bars is oh so delicious.
Berries remind me of old times when my grandma was still around. Growing up, grandma always had fruit trees and had us picking them for her. She would make a lot of desserts, cobblers, bars, cookies, and jellies for her grandbabies. She was a sweet grandma and I will always cherish those memories.
These raspberry bars are easy to prepare and bake. This is one of my husband’s favorite fruits besides apples.
Now I want to let you know that these are fairly sweet. It will not take more than one. The crumbles mixed on top of the raspberry bars make this even more delicious. Although personally, I do not eat more than one in a setting, my son will eat a few of them because they are so good that he thinks there won’t be any left if he doesn’t eat all his portions in one setting. I try to convince him that he can have another portion later on, but it just does not work. 🙂
If you like raspberries, I am certain that you will enjoy these Raspberry Bars. I actually do not like raspberries, but I sure do like these bars.
Do you plan on making these raspberry bars? Have you made these before? If you haven’t, then give them a try. They are amazing added with milk or vanilla ice cream. Let me know in the comments if yours turned out alright and if you even plan on making these. Surprise the kids with this amazing dessert tonight.
