Real Nutritious, Real Quality, Real Happy | ALPO® Wet Dog Food
If you are a regular reader of Jenns Blah Blah Blog you already know how much we love our animals.  We recently invited a new pitbull into our home, Mattie decided to name him Trip.  He's such a good boy, and I hope you have enjoyed getting to know all my wild and crazy dogs.  I always post about Skittles, and recently have been introducing my other dippy dogs.  Some days I feel like we have a farm with all these animals and kids running around.  It’s just the way I like it – never a dull moment!

Skittles and I have been together for 10 years, and he has been an important part of our family from the start.  Skittles is the old man, the boss, my husband calls his the fun police, or fun fuzz lol.  He’s getting cranky in his older years and doesn’t want anyone to have fun – not even the kids.  Once someone starts to have fun, oh look here comes the fun fuzz to break it up with his super annoying bark, which he will not stop until any and all fun has stopped in the house.

Like any dog lover, my dogs mean the world to me.  They are my furry kids that listen.  Typically they eat dry dog food.  I am sure you can imagine the excitement on their cute little faces when they heard mom pop the can off of ALPO® wet dog food.

I think my Rottweiler, Noodles thought it was her birthday.  Okay, maybe she thought she finally found her belly button.  She’s a dippy pup, and it’s an ongoing joke between my husband and I.  When we look at her, and are not really sure what is going through that brain of hers we say she is looking for her belly button again.  Okay, never mind all that it's probably one of those things that you need to be here for – let’s talk good mood food for your pups.

Since I had all four dogs in the house and only two cans of dog food I had to get creative. See I have a two VERY picky eaters, and I wanted to see what all the dogs thought about ALPO® wet line of dog food.  I’m thinking as long as my two picky eaters do not find out that ALPO® wet food contributes to form a complete and balanced diet, and contains quality ingredients they will love it.  No joke, it's like telling your kids to eat something healthy.  For some reason from that point on it's no logner fun to eat regardless of how much they liked it before they found out how much mom wanted them to eat it.   Thankfully my dogs never learned to read, and I am not going to tell them how good ALPO® is for them, lol.

First I decided to pop open a can of ALPO® Chop House® Beef Tenderloin Flavor it’s filled with steak flavored chunks with Angus beef in a yummy gravy.  While dogs are wagging their tail with excitement, enjoying the taste of T-bone steak flavor dog owners can be confident each can is complete and balanced for all stages of life.

Since we have a new member in our family I decided, Trip would be the first to try ALPO® Chop House® Beef Tenderloin Flavor.  I admit, he had no idea what I was doing, but was super excited about his new Halloween bowl I bought him.  I don’t think he had ever seen ALPO's® wet dog food line, much less dog food that came in a can.  He loved it.  I am pretty sure if he could have talked he would have begged for more, and assumed it was a birthday party for the dogs, and rather than birthday cake they received ALPO® wet dog food.  Which I'm sure he would tell you the gravey makes it much better than birthday cake.   He finished it all up, and looked at me like I should give him more – since it must be his birthday or something lol.

ALPO® Prime Slices® Gravy Cravers Homestyle with Chicken in Gravy</strong>, two of my picky eaters, and my dippy rotwieler Noodles.  This should be fun, I had one can of dog food, and three big dogs – Skittles the pitbull, Piper the yellow labrandor, and Noodles our Rotweiler.  Since I really didn't know how Piper or Skittles would like the wet dog food I thought it would be best to have them take turns getting a bite off a spoon.  Yes, I do this with them all the time, lol.  My dogs are pros when it comes to eating of a spoon.

First up is the non-picky eater Noodles.  I knew she was going to love ALPO® Prime Slices® Gravy Cravers Homestyle with Chicken in Gravy, because she will eat anything that doesn't eat her first.  She's such a little piggy, but always eats so gracefuly off a spoon lol.  It's the only thing she does grateful, everything else often involves falling.  She falls down the stair, falls out of the truck, falls into the ducks pool, wiggles into your lap, trips into the trash – you name it she falls, trips, or wiggles her way into it.  Which is why her name is Noodles.

Our first picky eater of the evening will be Piper.  She's horrible, I have only found three kinds of dog food she will eat.  To be honest I have not done much experimetning with her, but we are going to see what she thinks about ALPO® wet good.  To my suprise, she tried ALPO® Prime Slices® Gravy Cravers Homestyle with Chicken in Gravy, and SCORE – she wanted another bite.  ALPO® Prime Slices® Gravy Cravers Homestyle with Chicken in Gravy is another home run with Piper the picky labrador.

Then there is the super-duper, totally spoilled-rotton pitbull Skittles.  He is probably the pickiest, pickey eater of them all, but he's been in the family from the start so we let him be picky.  OH, yea and about a year ago he suddenly decided he was too good to eat off a spoon so I didn't even attemp that one.  I know he would have looked at me like I just lost my mind.  I gave him a little in his black, candycorn Halloween bowl, and he totally ate it all up.  ALPO® Prime Slices® Gravy Cravers Homestyle with Chicken in Gravy makes another homerun with our super-duper picky eater Skittles!

ALPO® Prime Slices Gravy Cravers Homestyle with Chicken in Gravy even brought in the cats.  I really don't know waht could have been left in the cool Halloween bowls, but the kitty must have smelled something in Trips bowl.  I know cats are not supposed to eat dog food and visa versa, but there wasn't anything left in that bowl that I could see, so I figured I would let Toothless, our kitty have a little fun too.

If you have one or more picky eaters like we do, ALPO® suggests feeding wet food at room temperature.  It can help with palatability and is especially important for older dogs that may experience diminishing sense of taste and smell.  Be sure to swing by ALPO'S HOMEPAGE, and follow "Like" ALPO’s Facebook Page.  They have some great tips for all you dog lovers out there.

Interesting post. Being aware of all the food alternatives for our pets to eat is important. Some owners choose to avoid by-products because of the questionable methods they are created. (and what’s inside them!)

Either way, your pets are lucky they have an owner who truly cares about their overall health and well being!
