Save This Back-to-School Season & Beyond at Barnes & Noble Bookstore

by Jenn Brockman

I took my kids to Barnes & Noble on Friday because they did so awesome in school.  As a mother, I do my best to keep them on track in school and reward them with something educational and fun, which makes books the perfect reward for my kids.  They’re still young enough they love me to read to them, which I love because my oldest is a teen and before I know it will be heading off to college.  Gosh, that’s a scary thought.  I’m still not sure how I will handle things!

Thankfully she has a good head on her shoulders, and I know she will be smart while she is away.  Young, but smart.  Does that even make sense, lol.  At least I know she’s going to be smart when she handles her finances, that’s one thing I started teaching all my children when they were very young.  Working at the bank I would see children head off to college without a clue when it came to managing their finances.  They would get the worse credit card and end up in debt or with their credit messed up because they didn’t understand what they were getting themselves into.  So many places sneak in that annual fee, and you have to know what to look for.   If college students are going to get a credit card, I suggest the Barnes & Noble MasterCard because there isn’t an annual fee, and they will be saving money on items their already going to be purchasing.

bnBarnes & Noble MasterCard is an AWESOME credit card for not only college students who need to purchase books, supplies, and textbooks during the school year but also parents so they can help their children if ever in a bind or spoil their younger children at Barnes & Nobile from time to time.  My kids love picking out their weekly books, and I can honestly say I wouldn’t mind saving a little, every little bit adds up, especially when you are heading back to school!  Dang, it gets expensive.  Any savings is welcome my direction!

Plus, did you know when you use your Barnes & Nobile MasterCArd to purchase textbooks and school supplies you can get 5 perfect back!  Yes, it also counts when you shop at BN.com online!  Yepie, right now let’s talk about how quickly that 5 perfect can add up with back to school season!

The average cost of supplies and books at public college’s year was $1,225 and at private colleges it was $1,244!  If you were to use your Barnes & Noble MasterCard for those supplies and textbooks at campus Barnes & Nobile or online at BN.com you would get about $60 back in savings, just for purchasing things you’ll be purchasing with or without the card.  Now, tell me that isn’t AWESOME!

bnDon’t miss out on an additional $25 gift card

Oh, wait it gets better!  Did you know that you’ll also get a $25 Barnes & Noble gift card after your first purchase with your new MasterCard?  And, since you’ll earn 1 reward point on every dollar you spend with your card you’ll get an additional $25 gift card every time you earn 2,500 points!  The rewards count even on daily purchases like groceries and gas!  SWEET right!
