Beijing is on my travel bucket list. It’s one place I would love to visit because I want to experience the culture, see the country, and take a step back in history by visiting the historic buildings. Several of my friends, people from work, and church have been to Beijing, and I’ve heard from more than one person it’s an amazing place to see with something to do for almost every type of traveler.
Seven Things To Do In Beijing
Here are seven of the many things to do in Beijing:
Yellow is the symbol of the royal family and is the dominant color you will see in the Forbidden City. Being built between 1406 and 1420, it’s China’s largest complex of old buildings.
Lush green grass, calm, cool environment, I’ve heard and read about the parks scattered across Beijing are a sight worth seeing. With everything from tai chi and fitness to badminton and music, it’s worth getting up early to experience the parks in Beijing.
Great Wall of China
I don’t know who would visit and not stop by the Great Wall of China, especially since Beijing offers access to the wall.
Here in the US we have Chinese food restaurants, but there is nothing like the real thing. The Americanized Chinese food is fabulous, but I’m going to be an authentic version is even more delicious.
I’m sure you have heard of the amazing Beijing acrobats filled with all sorts of mind-blowing fun. I’ve only watched on YouTube, but it was enough with that let’s learn of a few awesome places to visit in Beijing.
I’ve only been to American Zoo’s, and there is an awesome Panda House to look at either. I would love to visit the Beijing Zoo just for the experience. Of coarse, I want to see the Panda House too.
WOW, I love massages from my husband, I would love to try an amazing traditional Chinese massage for sure. Plus, I have heard nothing but amazing things about a traditional Chinese massage. Seems like the perfect way to end a Beijing vacation.
