Want something that is easy to make AND you don’t have to stand over the stove cooking? Check out my Slow Cooker Lemon and Garlic Chicken Wings!

Slow Cooker Lemon and Garlic Chicken Wings

Where I live, the winters are still considered hot. For instance, today it was on up past the 90’s. It’s just ridiculous at some points. We have a tiny little air conditioner too, so it does all it can do. We recently put in some window units and that has helped a little. Ok, so the point I am making is that I hate to cook on the stove, heat up the oven or turn on the broiler when it is so hot outside. During the summer months, I love to cook in my slow cooker and always have a vast of recipes available to cook.

One of our favorite recipes is my Slow Cooker Lemon and Garlic Chicken Wings. What I love most about this recipe is that it is so easy and I can put it on in the mornings. Then, once we get home and ready to have dinner all I have to do is plate it and we are good to go. How much better could that be?! Plus I don’t have to try and cook over a hot stove on and already hot day. If you wish, you can also bake this in the oven.

Now let’s get this in the slow cooker and have a yummy dinner tonight!

SLOW COOKER LEMON AND GARLIC CHICKEN WINGS

For this recipe, you will only need a few simple ingredients:

  • 5 cloves garlic
  • 4 pounds chicken wings
  • 1 Lemon
  • 1 cup white wine

You are not going to believe just how easy it is to get this ready!

  • Place your chicken wings into the slow cooker. I like to use those little Slow Cooker bags made by Reynolds, it makes clean up a breeze.
  • Next, you will want to add in your garlic. Make sure they are peeled. Once you have done that, slice your lemons and place them on top of the chicken wings.
  • Finally, pour one cup of white wine over the chicken.
  • Cook on low for 4 hours. Enjoy!

Note: if you do not have white wine, you can substitute for one cup of chicken stock.

I hope you enjoyed my Slow Cooker Lemon and Garlic Chicken Wings as much as my family did. It is a wonderful treat to enjoy any day of the week. If you wish to print this out and save in your recipe binder, use the recipe card below.
