I will admit that I have struggled a lot with weight loss since the birth of baby number 4. I have thought about it all of the time and wondered why I would not be able to get the weight off like I had in the past. Finally it occurred to me that with a newborn, 2 year old and 3 ½ year old that the issue wasn’t lack of motivation but simply lack of time to spend on myself. I did not have the energy or time to work out because it was so hard and I was just not dedicated.
Finally now that I know where my problem has been, I know what I need to do to change it. I have been trying a wide array of products and systems over the past few months. I have been on nearly every diet that you can think of and have tried everything else along the way. All in all I have found that diet is not going to be something that I will stick to. Let’s face it, diets are just really hard. However a lifestyle change that is practical is what I need.
I need a change that I am going to be able to stick to for life. What I love about the 21 Day Fix program is that it is just this. It teaches you portion control, how to properly balance your diet, and helps you get in the shape that you hope for in 21 day increments. It is just 21 days.
Today I have spent learning about the program, grocery shopping and prepping. I am going to be chronicling the journey with more details, recipes, shopping tips, and while teaching you how to do it on a modest budget at Simply Shawn N Jenn so feel free to check that out too.
