Do you ever sit and wonder about your favorite toys from your childhood? Do you wish that your parents had kept your favorite toys so that you could now share them with your child? I have struggled with this with a couple of toys that I loved playing with. Overall I was pretty girly but there were a few toys that I played with all of the time that I was certain that my boys would love. That is why I became so excited when I came across a few of the toys from Ideal Toys that reminded me of my own toys from childhood.
Frontier Logs are sure to set the scene for our own wild west show downs this year. I am eager to check out the Frontier Logs 300 pc Set with 20 pc cowboys ($90.99). This set is just awesome and I know that it is going to provide us with hours of fun building as a family. I used to personally love building the log cabins and creating their roofs.
As I got older and more skilled I could add rooms and really make a log cabin that even Barbie would be happy to sleep in (and sleep in it she did!!). I love being able to create new things still and know that this is one toy that is going to help me connect with my kids.
Tips to Connect More with Your Kids
**Play With Them — Don’t sit back and watch them play together….get down and play with them too! This is one of the things that I love most about the Frontier Logs that we received. I know that I am actually going to want to play with the kiddos. It is not that I normally do not want to play because I do but so many toys do not seem like they are going to be much fun to me. These really seem like they are going to be a TON of fun!
**Choose Toys that Make You Just as Excited as Them — When you show your enthusiasm your child is sure to take note. They are going to respond with the same high level of enthusiasm that they see from you! I love being able to share excitement with my children which is why I am so pumped to be able to have one of them open the 144 Pc Boxed Fiddlestix ($58.99) on Christmas morning. Fiddlestix are another toy that take me back to days of childhood wonder and excitement. They were another of my favorite toys to build and create with and I know that my children are going to enjoy building and creating with them as well.
**Find the Best Toys for Your Family — Not every family is going to like the same toys. To have success you should find the best toys for your family as that is how you can ensure that you are going to be able to connect with your children. These toys are classic options that I feel like every family can connect over.
