Strawberry S’mores Trifle Recipe

by Jenn

I’m excited to share this super yummy Strawberry S’mores Trifle Recipe with you.  Since it’s been cold, I’ve found myself letting the kids watch more TV and have more tech time.  Yesterday was a half day at school. Rather than letting them come home and watch TV or play on the computer I decided we were going to have fun and create a Valentine’s Day recipe using TruMoo Chocolate Marshmallow.

While the kids were at school this morning, I ran to the store grabbed a few things.  I wanted to be sure I had everything we needed for our TruMoo Chocolate Marshmallow Valentine’s Day recipe.  I had a good idea the direction my kids would want to go. Plus, I planned on putting a few ideas in their head, so I didn’t have to run to the store for something crazy like avocados, LOL.  Luckily I got everything we needed for the Strawberry S’mores Trifle Recipe, plus a few extras so we could have a little extra fun later.

I hope you enjoy our Strawberry S’mores Trifle Recipe as much as we did.  If you don’t want to make such a large batch, it’s easy to cut the recipe in half. Ingredients:

  • 1 Bag Strawberry & Vanilla Marshmallows (Large or Small whichever you prefer)
  • 2 Boxes Chocolate Pudding
  • TruMoo Chocolate Milk (Limited TruMoo Chocolate Marshmallow if possible)
  • One box graham crackers
  • 2 Chocolate bars (break into pieces)
  • 12 to 15 strawberries

Let’s make this Strawberry S’mores Trifle Recipe:

  • Preheat oven to broil. If you’re lucky and have a touch that works, you can skip this part.  I’m still upset mine is broke, but we will save that for another post.
  • Make pudding according to directions using TruMoo Chocolate Marshmallow milk rather than regular milk.  Once you’re finished place in the refrigerator until you’re ready to start layering.

  • Put graham crackers in a baggie and smash them using your hand or a plastic cup.
  • Place graham crackers in the bottom of the Mason jar.  You can choose to do more layers by making the layers thinner.  We did try to stick with the thick layers because that is what my little helper decided.
  • Remove pudding from refrigerator and put a layer of pudding into each Mason jar.
  • Add a layer of marshmallows and continue to layer as needed.

  • Top with a few chocolate pieces.
  • Place all mason jars on cookie sheet and place in the oven on broil.  Watch them carefully it only takes a few minutes to create a golden brown color on the marshmallows.  If you’re not quick, you’ll burn the chocolate.  I like to leave the door cracked because if I shut it all the way it never fails I cannot find anything to get them out of the oven, and I burn something.  If you have a torch, you can use it instead.

  • Garnish with strawberries and crumbled graham crackers.

TIP: If you haven’t roasted marshmallows in the oven before you might try doing it one at a time until you get the hang of things.  You might be a pro, but it took me a few times to get the hang of it, and I don’t want you to waste a whole batch like I did my first time. You can make all sorts of fun, yummy Valentine’s Day recipes with TruMoo!  From delicious milkshakes and hot chocolate floats to fantastic trifles, frozen popsicle, and anything else your imagination can cook up.  My kids get so excited when TruMoo brings out their seasonal flavors, and my youngest is a HUGE TruMoo Chocolate Marshmallow fan.  She has loved it since she was old enough to start drinking chocolate milk.  My sister gets excited when TruMoo Chocolate Marshmallow comes out because she likes to add it to her coffee.  She loves the flavor it gives her coffee, which I have to admit it’s pretty darn yummy.
