Last year, I shared the 2-player PG-13 friendly card game Stuff Happens with readers. The game presents some disastrous scenarios and players rank them based on how bad they think they are. For example, is getting stung by a bee more miserable than getting a 3rd degree sunburn? Recently, Goliath Games released an expansion – Stuff Happens: Parenting Edition. With these cards, players rank those funny and relatable parenting moments. For instance, is losing your kid’s favorite toy better or worse than forgetting to send out birthday invites? As you rank the cards, you may even have some stories of your own to share!

How to Play
Each player receives three cards from the shuffled deck and the remainder form a draw pile. Players then create a “Lane of Pain” by arranging their cards in order based on the number of the Misery Index. When it’s your turn, the player to your right draws a card and reads it out loud without revealing the Misery Index number. You then decide where that card should be placed in your Lane of Pain. If you guess correctly, you keep the card, but if you are wrong, and another player guesses right, they steal the card. If nobody guesses right, it goes in a discard pile. The first player to get 10 cards in their lane of pain wins.

The game includes 200 cards that can be played alone or mixed with any Stuff Happens deck.
- For 2+ players
- Ages 13 and up

This game is perfect for when you need a good laugh after a long day of parenting. It is a great choice for playing at casual parties, baby showers, or just with a group of friends. The game is pretty straightforward and easy to play, though it does require some thought as you decide where to rank the cards.
