Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer is unlike any other hair dryer. It gives you a steady flow of heated or unheated air and will dry your hair in half the time of the old blow dryers. Let me give you a bit of the history behind hairdryers/blow dryers. Years ago, we used to put rollers in our hair because there was no such thing as a curling iron, or at least ones that didn’t burn your hair. After we had all our hair rolled up, we would use a hairdryer that had a cap you put over your head. Once you were hooked up correctly, you would turn on the hairdryer and sit for 20-30 minutes waiting for your hair to dry. Very awkward way of drying your hair but it beat the alternative of waiting hours for your hair to dry naturally.
Universal Hair Dryer 1960’s Era
Originally the first hand held hair dryer was invented by “Beau” Godefroy in France in 1890 and became a household indulgence around 1920 but it was rather large and frequently over heated and dried hair slowly. As time went on, man improved the hand-held hair dryer which is basically what we use today. Of course, it does not come without its own set of quirts and disadvantages. If you have long hair it can easily get tangled in the vent on the back of the hair dryer. Another disadvantage of the old style hand-held hairdryers is that can get hot to the touch not to mention you usually only have 2 speeds and the hot cycle is typically way to hot. Using this type of hair dryer can damage your hair.
Travel style Hand-Held Hair Dryer and typical Salon Style Hair Dryer
I have given you some of the history and different types of hand held hair dryers. Now I want to tell you about the newest innovation in hair dryers and that would be the Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer. I was amazed at how fast my hair dried. Usually it takes a long time for it to dry but using the Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer, it only took a fraction of the time.
I started out using the diffuser attachment to see how it performed. The Diffuser helps to define curls and reduces frizz. Then I switched to the smaller attachments like the Smoothing Nozzle which dries and finishes at the same time, the Styling Concentrator is for precise styling which produces a more direct force of air. I liked the smaller attachments which snap on using a magnetic latch. No more snapping an attachment on which is sometimes difficult to put on or take off.
The Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer has a variety of functions. It is lightweight and very balanced for easy handling. Has a noise reduction feature so the dryer is quiet. There are 3 settings for the air flow for fast drying, regular drying and slow for styling, 4 heat settings that include constant cold, low, medium, high and a cold button on the handle which is a press and hold button to easily set your style. The filter cage is removable for easy cleaning. Also included is a storage hanger and non-slip mat.
Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer is the new age of hairdryers using a unique digital motor for faster and more balanced drying and is a better way to dry your hair compared to the old-fashioned hand held hair dryers.
