This Quick & Easy Taco Pastry Roll Recipe is a fast and simple one-course meal to make for the whole family.  I have a pretty large family, so we make a few of them.  Most of you have seen me post about how large my family is.  We like leftovers so we tend to make more than what we would eat in one setting.

My husband will ask for this one at least twice a month.  Of course, I will oblige.  He is a diabetic, so I try not to give him too much bread.  This is a treat for him.  This meal is his splurging.  There is nothing wrong with splurging from time to time, as long as he doesn’t do it for every single meal.

This Taco Pastry Roll saves me a lot of time from standing over the stove dirtying up a bunch of dishes and then having to stand and clean them all.  My family has lots of time after dinner to spend with each other.  We can sit down and watch tv or go out and do something fun together for our quality time.  I will also make this when we are in a hurry to get the kids to sports activities or school functions.  Sure does save a lot of time.  No rushing around to get everything done and get out of the door.

  • 1 pastry Puff dough
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 packet taco seasoning


  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Roll out pastry dough on a cookie sheet.
  3. Prepare ground beef according to directions on the taco season packet.
  4. Spread ground beef on the pastry roll.
  5. Top with Salsa and cheddar cheese. Roll dough and seal edges.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
