Becoming a mom for the first, second, third, or even tenth time is magical! The first baby can be scary but after that you become more confident in your mothering skills.

I was so worried I would do something wrong with the first baby.  I knew nothing–how much to feed her, when to feed her, how she would tell me she was hungry, etc. Man, it was scary!  It sure would have been nice to have BlueSmart mia, a smart sleeve that fits most bottles and allows parents to track their baby’s feedings anytime.  Parents and caregivers can now monitor their baby’s feedings in real time using BlueSmart mia and their awesome app that shows you everything from timing and temperature to the amount that your baby ate.  It’s a great way to give parents and caregivers peace of mind.

The Struggle Is Real: Tips for New Moms

Since all of us moms know the struggle is real, I thought I would share a few tips for new moms and BlueSmart mia.I’m sure many mom would agree that the struggle of motherhoodI’m I’m s

Take a deep breath–Seriously, you got this! When you are a first-time mommy, it’s hard not to worry and wonder if you will be a good mother and do everything right! The good news is mommy gear turns on when you have a baby! I’m sure many would agree the worries don’t just leave once we have the baby, but for me, the worry turned into fear because everything was real; my baby was in my in my arms finally. The last thing I wanted to do was hurt her because I lacked parenting skills.  I wish I would have just taken a deep breath and had more faith in myself.

Naps, don’t listen to everyone–Everyone says sleep when the baby sleeps, but let us be real for a moment! Baby is sleeping. Do you:

A.) Nap.

B.) Get you some mom time.

C.) Catch up on things you need to get done.

The answer won’t be the same for everyone. Do whatever you feel needs done, but only do as much as you can handle. Don’t push yourself too much, but remember you don’t have to sleep when baby takes a nap.  Honestly, you probably won’t get a good nap in anyway.  I never did at least.

To be honest, I can’t think of one time I took a nap when my little one napped.  However, my sister-n-law still naps with her children.  So I guess it just depends on the individual.

Crying, don’t listen to everyoneJust because of your mom, aunt, or whoever tells you it’s okay to let baby cry doesn’t mean you should always let your child cry. Make your own decision when to let baby cry it out. Now, they raised children; they are all alive and well, but they didn’t raise your child and likely don’t know them the way you do! I’m not saying pick the baby up every time he cries.  There may be times when you let them cry it out, just be sure to make this choice on your own.

Baby talk, don’t listenI don’t know how many people told me I shouldn’t talk baby talk to my child.  Which if that is what you feel is best for your child, go for it.  As long as you are not yelling and screaming at your child I think it’s safe to say they will be just fine.

Take the help when you can-Okay, this is hard one but it’s also important.  We all need a little alone time, date night with our spouse, a few hours to breathe, or maybe even to go back to work.  Leaving baby with someone else can be difficult but it’s something you’re going to have to do.  Plus, now you can have peace of mind because we have BlueSmart mia on our side.

I know the struggle, and it’s real, but there are times we have to let someone watch our baby.  Whether you work or just need a little “me time” sometimes you will have to trust someone to watch your child, but now we can do it with peace of mind thanks to BlueSmart Mia!

I remember those first years with my 2 kids. My first born stayed up all night and slept during the day. I was always so tired.
