Have you heard of a long-term disease called rosacea? If not, it’s probably a good thing because that means you have not been diagnosed with it. However, it is possible to have symptoms of rosacea and not be aware of it, especially if you know nothing about it. Which is why I wanted to talk a little more about it today.
Things You May Want To Know About Rosacea
Rosacea can be extremely embarrassing – Rosacea starts out with your cheeks, forehead, nose and often the chin beginning to get a little redness that at times looks like pimples. It’s especially embarrassing when a flare up occurs. A flare-up can make your affected skin redder, swollen, and sensitive and your skin may look thick and bumpy.
What causes flare ups? Triggers are often the cause of flare-ups. There are multiple things that can cause flare-ups such as hot foods, alcohol, sunlight, hot baths, stress, exercise, and more. So you’ll want to be sure and document everything you eat, drink and do to help you identify and avoid those triggers.
Eye problems may be in the future of those diagnosed with Rosacea – Sadly up many of those diagnosed with this disease will develop eye problems later down the road because the eyelids often become inflamed, and their vision is impaired.
Who is at risk for rosacea – I think it’s safe to say that nobody should rule it out but in most cases those who develop the disease are women, with fair skin, 30 to 60 years of age and in many instances have a family history of rosacea.
Can Rosacea be cured – Sadly, not it cannot be cured – but, there are other things you can do like using Prosacea® Medicated Rosacea Gel.
Prosacea® Medicated Rosacea Gel, which works to control rosacea symptoms, – redness, irritation, and bumps. Prosacea Medicated Gel can be used alone, under makeup, or under a moisturizer to help treat and heal redness, so you don’t have to cover up the redness – “Heal, Don’t Conceal”!

I’ve been using Prosacea for several months now, and it works better than anything I have used in the past. I love that I don’t have to worry about covering up all that darn red anymore because it never actually worked anyway. I was always embarrassed to go places because of the way people looked at me. I don’t even know that anyone looked at me and thought “OMG what is wrong with that chick’s face” but it was always on my mind and extremely embarrassed of my situation.
Prosacea Medicated Rosacea Gel is an easy to use, light, water-based formulation that goes on nice and easy, absorbs fast, and works to help you achieve that flawless finish under your makeup. The Aloe works to help soothe your poor dry, red, irritated skin.

I have had some laser done on my face to get rid of some of the red in spots on my face if did lighten some of it.
I’m just now seeing a lot more red to my face. I look pretty Irish with dark brown curly hair, blue eyes, very pale slin woth freckles that burns easily, so I’m used to it. But my cheeks have been getting very red lately and for no reason. I’m going to ask my dermatologist at my next appointment but looking at my family, I’m pretty sure it’s there. All I can say is be proactive and take charge. Before bed, de-stress with deep breathing and/or meditation. My mom has it and I think this would help her a lot.
I don’t have this condition but I imagine taht for the most part you just have to soldier on!
I am saving this to ask my doctor about. Thanks
My daughter has this really bad, tjisf be great for.
I did not find a giveaway. I am over 60; a couple years ago I woke up to find my eyelids glued shut. I scraped off crusty bits and got my eyes open. I thought it was a reaction to rubbing my eyes after cutting hot peppers. I mentioned it at my next eye exam. He told me I had a mild case of rosacea. When I mentioned it to my younger brother he said that he had had that problem daily for years. He used a hot, wet washcloth to remove the “crusties.”
When I read up on it on the internet, I found that WC Fields, Bill Clinton and Princess Diana had all had this problem. All their photos showed them with rosy faces.
When I look back at family photos I see that most of my family show the same signs.
I have never had to deal with Rosacea for which I am happy. I have friends that do have this though and I am not sure how they deal with it. I would love the opportunity to win this for one of them. Thank you for sharing
