One of the things that I think that every woman needs is a signature hairstyle or something that is all her own. I have tried so many hairstyles over the years but I always go back to one look, the headband because frankly this is the look that looks best on me.
When I was offered an Urban Halo for review I was very excited about the promises that the headband made. It was supposed to be slip free and a headband that I would not have to worry about.
I had just gotten bangs and to be completely honest this was the biggest “hair” mistake that I have made in a LONG time. I hate them! However thanks to the Urban Halo I was able to control them and keep them where I wanted them to be.
Most headbands do not help hold my bangs in place so I end up just going with something that will push them back. Urban Halo was different.
So to celebrate this great headband that I liked so much I would like to share some tips with you on creating the perfect hairstyle for yourself.
Find a Hairstyle that You Like
I have had many hairstyles in the past that others have complimented or said look really good on me. Just because something looks good on me does not mean that I like it. So to be true to yourself you have to have a hairstyle that you like.
Go With a Style that You Can Manage
One of the biggest mistakes that people make when choosing a new style is picking out something that they can not manage. I ended up going with bangs and I do not want to take the time to blow dry them or use a curling iron to put them into place. So I never do them and always throw a headband on to hide them. Instead of doing this I could have managed with not getting my bangs cut but to be honest I would have still been wearing a headband because I love that look.
Be Yourself with Your Style
It does not matter if your hair is long or short, what matters is that you have a hairstyle that says “you.” This can be something that is unique or something that is common that you particularly love. When picking something out you should look for the product that is going to best represent to you everything that you have dreamed of.
I do want to make a quick note about the Urban Halo. It was work out proof and life proof but for me it was not dance proof. I went out to see a favorite local band and found that it slipped off sometime in the night and I never saw it again. So make sure that you are not dancing too hard or you might lose it too.
