Traditional Big Red® Simple Cake Recipe

If you’re looking for a simple cake recipe that’s’ unique and totally yummy you, can’t go wrong with this Big Red simple cake. The hardest part about making this Traditional Big Red Simple Cake is baking the cake, and you can use your favorite white cake mix, which makes things that much easier.  Of course, if you’d rather make your white cake from scratch that’s totally okay, it is still going to be a simple cake to make that looks fabulous and taste amazing.

Growing up one of my favorite sodas was Big Red, back then I would have never thought of making a cake using one of my favorite drinks.  Here we are almost 25 years later, and sharing this Big Red cake recipe with you.  I guess there is some good to growing up, lol.  You learn how to create awesome cakes out of your favorite sodas.  You could use this Traditional Big Red Cake recipe for just about any occasion, but with Valentine’s Day coming up, it might be something fun to share with the kids or your partner.  So if you’re looking for a fun, unique Valentines Day recipe idea you might want to give this yummy Traditional Big Red Cake recipe a try.

Traditional Big Red Simple Cake Recipe

Traditional Big Red® Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 Box of your favorite white cake mix
  • 1 can of Big Red® soda pop
  • 1 box of strawberry gelatin dessert
  • 1 box instant vanilla pudding
  • 1 tub of whipped topping

Instructions

  1. Bake cake according to directions on box
  2. While cake is baking, mix your can of Big Red® soda pop with the box of strawberry gelatin until completely dissolved
  3. Once cake is finished baking use a butter knife and poke holes all over the cake.
  4. Pour strawberry gelatin and Big Red® soda mixture over the cake and allow to cool
  5. While your cake is cooling, make the pudding and mix together with the whipped topping.
  6. Once cake is fully cooled spread the cool whip and pudding mixture on the top
  7. Enjoy

Tomorrow would be my moms 72nd birthday, she was sometimes called Big Red. I’m going to bake this one for her. I just moved to New Mexico and I really love it here. Thanks for the recipe.
