For those of you who do not know me very well, I have two cats beside my dog. Both cats, Trouble and Deuce, are male and are black and white. Trouble has a striking black mask covering his face and is the larger of the two at a bit over 12 pounds, while Deuce, a frail 11 pounds, only has a few black spots on his face. Both Trouble and Deuce came to live with us in 2002 at the wee age of 8 weeks old. They are such treasures and have given my husband and me many, many years of love and affection.
Just like humans, each cat has a different personality. Trouble, since he is larger and weighs more, is the leader of the group — well he thinks he is when the dog isn’t home. Deuce, however, is the one that I worry about. On occasion, he has a tendency to throw up. Now, this isn’t the typical hairball scenario, this is food he has just eaten. I have spoken with our vet who says that this is normal for some cats, and since Deuce is at a healthy weight, he wasn’t too concerned. As a pet owner of many years though, I am still apprehensive. Obviously, since I do not speak the same language, I can’t tell when Deuce has a serious medical condition, aside from his movements.
Did you know that you can tell a lot about the health of your cat by the color of the urine? I recently found a product from Pet360 called the Ultra Monthly Monitor Early Illness Detection Program. This product will help me to distinguish if either of my cats has an issue that needs medical attention.

It is easy to determine if either of my cats has any potential health problems like cystitis, bladder stones, urethral plugs, or a bladder infection. Using the Ultra Monthly Monitor Early Illness Detection Program, I poured the white crystals over the fresh litter and waited approximately 10 minutes then checked the color scale on the package to determine if my cat has an abnormal pH level. Luckily, both of my cats have a pH level that is normal. However, if the pH level was either low or high, I would be contacting my vet immediately to address the issue. An added bonus with the Ultra Monthly Monitor Early Illness Detection Program is that it helps eliminate the odor when stirred with the litter.
The Ultra Monthly Monitor Early Illness Detection Program is not intended to replace professional veterinarian care. If you feel that your cat has any health issues, even though the color urine indicates a normal pH level, you should consult your vet.
The Ultra Monthly Monitor Early Illness Detection Program comes in a 16 ounce bag. It works on all kinds of litter and contains a non-toxic formula. A 16 ounce bag is on sale for $5.99 and a 16 ounce, 3 pack is only $15.49.
