Uncrustables Bear Sandwich Supermom Style + Ways To Make Kids Smile

by Jenn

Huge thanks to Smucker’s Uncrustables for sponsoring today’s blog post, Uncrustables Bear Sandwich Super Mom Style & 9 Ways To Make Kids Smile as part of the Mom It Forward Blogger Network.

I love the way my youngest daughter looks at me, she thinks I’m the best mom EVER, regardless of what I do, say, or how I act, lol.  However, it’s not quite as easy with the other kids; they expect things, which is fine, but I’ve had to get a little creative to get the whole supermom reaction from my other kids.

Ways To Make Your Kids Smile

Who doesn’t want to watch their children grin from ear to ear while getting a nice little ego boost?  It’s a great way to encourage yourself to get slightly more creative and have a little more fun to see your children smile a little bigger each time.   Here are a few fun things I do to put that big smile on my kid’s face!

get dirtyLet them get dirty!

Why not just let your kids be kids, let them get dirty, play in the mud and go a little crazy every now and again.

Play in the dirt with them

Want your kids to think you are the coolest mom EVER and see those gorgeous smiles, join them in some fun, muddy, dirty, oh so awesome playtime OUTSIDE!

Four Things I Look For When Choosing Disposables DiapersMakeup songs together

I have two songs with each of my kids, that are OUR songs.  Now and then we might invite the other children to sing with us, but it’s our song, written by us and everything.  We started making these songs when the kids were little, continued them over the years, and it’s fun to see how the kids grow, their likes and dislikes change, and it’s super fun.

What do your children like – baseball, dolls, singing, jokes?  It doesn’t matter, whatever they like, be part of it. Listen to them, go to their events, and support them.  They don’t always say thank you, which is fine because watching them is so rewarding.  Sometimes I get lost watching them, and I just cannot believe I made such an amazing person.

Play dress up with your children, let them choose your outfit and even dress up in your clothing.  It’s fun for everyone, and if you are not in the mood to dress up they likely won’t mind because playing in mom’s clothing ROCKS!

Sit down for tea time with the kids.  Have them dress up in their best, have tea time hats, etc.  Just make it fun, and help them feel like little adults.  My kids love this.

JENN THE LUCKIES MOM EVERPut down the tech

Seriously, don’t talk to your children while looking at Facebook.  PUT IT DOWN, and give them 100% of your attention.  Listen to their silly stories, talk to them, and show them how much you enjoy time with them.  It’s the little things that mean a whole lot at the end of the day.

uncrustablesFood just for them

They get a cute little smile when I buy snacks or lunch items that are for them, rather than to share with the family.  Of course, this doesn’t mean mom doesn’t grab a Smucker’s Uncrustables for lunch while they are at school, lol.

My kids love it when I take something they already love and make it into something a little more fun, like this Peanut Butter & Honey Uncrustables Bear with Jif Peanut Butter & Chocolate Spread & Pretzels.   I love seeing my kids face light up when I surprise them with awesome afterschool snacks like this.  I send them fun things in their lunches like this, but between you and I, the afterschool snacks are more fun because I get to see their little smiles.

You can also include fun lunch notes in their school lunch, like these fun Disney Lunch Notes.

Here is a super easy, but fun idea for your child’s next afterschool snack.

You’ll Need

Let’s make this super fun Uncrustables Bear Sandwich  afterschool snack

uncrustable sandwich

  • Open the Smucker’s Uncrustables Sandwiches and place it on a plate.

  • Put a little dab of peanut butter from the Jif To Go Dippers you are planning to use on the back of the candy eyes and pretzel nose (included in the Jif To Go Dippers).  Place the eyes close together toward the top of the Uncrustables Sandwiches, and the place pretzel nose from the Jif To Go Dippers in the center of the Uncrustables Sandwiches right below the eyes.
  • Use the edible writing gel to draw the bear’s mouth.

  • Place a little peanut butter of the bottom of the pretzels you are going to use for the ears and stick them to the top of the Uncrustables to look like ears.  You can also lay the ears on the plate toward the upper part of the sandwich if you would rather do that.  Either way it turns out super cute and the kids will love it.

Everyone loves the PB&J sandwiches and Uncrustables are that homemade sandwich we all love that makes eating on-the-go easy.  Did you know that Uncrustables has teamed up with Disney to give families everything they need to be unstoppable this school year?  Yes, and through the Disney Uncrustables partnership, parents across the country have shared tips for their on-the-go lifestyles and this post from Samantha Rodman 8 Hacks That Will Make Your Kids Think You’re a Supermom inspired me to share a few things I do to see my children smile and the Uncrustables Bear Sandwich Supermom Style.
