We already know Valentines Day is a day for you to spoil your sweetheart. It’s a day to give them your time, attention, some hugs, and kisses. Okay, so probably some chocolates in there somewhere. Maybe even some flowers, or something that let’s them know you care about them.
Do you ever think about your gifts for your children on Valentine’s Day? Traditionally we know it’s a day to spoil your spouse or sweetheart, but do you ever get the kids something? My Aunt is so good about always remembering the kids. A few years back she sent the kids a small box of chocolates, some stickers, and a card for Valentine’s Day. All I remember is the look on their little faces, the look of shock that they actually received something on Mom and Dad’s special day.
Since then my husband and I have made it a point to join my Aunt in the fun, we always get the kids a little something to let them know we love them too. When I think of Valentine’s Day I think of love, and I love my children more than anything. So why wouldn’t I let them share the job of Valentine’s Day. Don’t get me wrong, my husband and I still spend time together. We just don’t leave the kids out.
So what are some special things you can get your children to show them you care? Shopping for children on Valentine’s Day, in my opinion is easier than shopping for your sweetheart or your children for Christmas. All they need is a little something to let them know you love them too. Here’s a few things you can get your children on Valentine’s Day that are fun, and don’t break the bank.
For some reason any type of boxes are great, whether their baskets or boxes my children love them. I love adding that personal touch to any type of box, this can be something fun. Decorate a box, make it special just for you child. I know to me and you it’s only a box, but my two younger daughters turn it into so much more! Only in the mind of a child, I love it! They actually keep them when they say something fun or meaningful. My 8-year-old daughter still has the first personalized gift box I got her. She uses it to keep her jewelry in. It’s a win-win situation. She loves the box, and she finally is keeping track of her earrings. No more finding them on the floor.
There’s also a great personalized baby blanket. This is not only an awesome gift, it’s something that you can keep for memories, and give to your child when their older.
Personalized Balloons – there’s always personalized Valentine’s Day balloons. They are super fun, I know my younger children would rather have a balloon than a cupcake, and mom would rather give them balloons too, lol.
Last but not least Valentines Day Flowers! Everyone loves getting flowers, yes even my children appreciate even just a single flower.
If you’re on the lookout for some great gifts for not only your sweetheart, but you’re children too there’s plenty to choose from at many different floral shops. Swing on over and check them out, they not only have awesome products they ship internationally too! Remember children want a small gift on Valentine’s Day too, lol… My oldest daughter asked me to put that there… It’s true, my kids love event the smallest things, it lets them know they are involved and they share that special day with us too.
Be sure to check out some great gift ideas for him.
