Since getting kids to eat their veggies isn’t easy we decided to share a fun and easy way we get kids to eat veggies, and all different kinds of veggies. Oh, and it’s done without complaining! I’m not even joking, they’ll probably ask you to make the veggie forest overran with dinosaur chicken nuggets and the pond of Vegosauras Ranch Dip Recipe again and again. The Veggie Island, Dinosaur Chicken Nuggets & Vegosauras Ranch Dip Recipe is even fun for adults!

I’m always looking for ways to get my kids to eat more veggies and the Veggie Island, Dinosaur Chicken Nuggets, and Vegosauras Ranch Dip Recipe has by far worked the best. Not only do they eat their veggies, but they will eat all different kinds. As you can see in the above image, we used tons of different kinds of veggies – celery, cucumbers, bell peppers, broccoli, tomatoes, and more.

There isn’t any certain way to create this fun plate of veggies, all you need is a love of creativity, veggies, and Tyson’s Dinosaur Chicken Nuggets. Of course, the dipping sauce is an added perk. I like to make a fresh ranch dip recipe, but even if we don’t have the things needed to make it, my kids will eat the veggies. It’s also a great way for them to try different kinds of veggies.

When making own veggie forest, there are tricks to keeping your trees, flowers, and bushes standing up straight. The easiest way that I found was to use large slices of carrot, celery, or cucumber and secure with toothpicks or cut a hole large enough for the stem of your tree or flower. Also, I found that popping out the stem of a mushroom makes room for an excellent base to hold up the broccoli trees and pepper palm trees. What other tricks would you use?
We wanted to make a delicious dip for all those yummy veggies, because, let’s face it… kids need a little motivation to polish off their veg. We decided on a ranch dip; everyone loves ranch. Instead of buying any old dip from the store, we decided to make homemade. Here is the recipe for our Vegosauras Ranch Dip Recipe.

Vegosauras Ranch Dip Recipe
Ingredients:
- 3/4 cup buttermilk
- 3 tablespoons sour cream
- 2 Tablespoons Mayonnaise (not Miracle Whip)
- 1 clove garlic, finely minced
- 1 teaspoon finely chopped dill, parsley, celery, or chives (1 tsp combination of all herbs is great too)
- ½ teaspoon mustard (Dijon or brown will work)
- A dash of Worcestershire sauce
- couple dashes of white vinegar
- Salt & pepper to taste
Tips: a pinch of paprika and chili powder to add a special spice

Directions:
- Combine all the ingredients in a large bowl and mix until blended thoroughly.
- Be sure to season with salt and pepper and flavor to fit your taste. Let your dip chill for at least 20 minutes before serving to let the flavors mix and the dip to thicken up.
Tip: mixing it in a bag or jar by shaking it helps mix it well and is a lot of fun too.
