National Wear Your Pajamas To Work Day

We already covered that April 17, 2012 is National Blah Blah Blah Day, I crack up every time I say that.  I thought I was the only nerd that would name something after Blah Blah Bla.h, but anyway……..

April 17th is also National Wear Your Pajamas To Work Day!  I love this holiday, I have been looking for an excuse to let the girls at the bank wear their pajamas to work, without just feeling like I was a lazy boss.  I am already planning it out, and have the perfect My Little Pony pajama bottoms, matching top, and pink slippers.

There is one bad thing about the National Wear Your Pajamas To Work Day, I have to wear something with long sleeves.  I have tattoos, a sleeve on my left arm and do not think my district manager would appreciate it too much if I was to waltz into work without them covered.  I normally wear a nice Cardigan, that is light so I do not over heat.  That may look funny if I show up to work in My Little Pony bottoms, pink slippers, pink matching shirt and a black Cardigan.  I know what all of you are thinking where in the world did she find matching My Little Pony pajamas, on the internet my friends!  In the winter I wear the footie pajamas, yea the ones where they open in the back by your bum.

So this is pretty much totally off subject but, do you ever do things to embarrass your children?  I do, that is my excitement for the day.  Here in the last 4 months my 13-year-old daughter has developed the my parents are totally dorks attitude.  I do so much on purpose just to see her turn red, and taking her to Wal-Mart in my oversized My Little Pony children’s pajamas, is so much fun.  She has a choice to stay home, but she thinks she will get to pick out something, so she goes.  She walks really far in front of me so I run after her calling her name, its great.  I remember being that age, I sure do and now I understand why my parents always teased me, it is just that fun!  I love my children very much!

So here is my question about National Wear Your Pajamas To Work Day:  Do your do your hair and make-up?  I would assume so, but doesn’t that take the lazy out of wearing your pajamas to work?  What do you think, do your hair and make-up or brush it and throw it up in a messy bun or ponytail?

My mom used to embarrass us by singing in public. It was horrible! LOL! I don’t think I ever did anything quite *that* embarrassing to my kids. But, they may have a different opinion! 😉
