I grew up watching good old cartoons, Transformers was one my brother and I watched every single Saturday morning. I’ve always loved watching and playing with Transformers, even as an adult if I am ever channel flipping and see Transformers I’m stopping. I think that’s why Transformers are one of my favorite cartoons and children/adults toys. They’ve been around since we were kids, my children watch them too, and they have only become more awesome. Basically, still the same old cartoon and toy, but MUCH better!
I look at my daughter and she reminds me so much of myself when I was little. From the things she likes, way she talks, her little attitude, to the toys that she plays with. I wasn’t ever much of a girly girl growing up. I was really a little tomboy, you would catch me playing with cars and transformers. If I played with dolls it was only to cut their hair, lol.
Mattie, my two-year old loves the boy toys. Don’t’ get me wrong she likes girls toys too, but isn’t afraid to get down and dirty with the boys. She is very easy to please, she has so much fun with boy and girl toys, but she sure does love to play with her big brother’s stuff. Her older brother is 11-year-old, and loves Transformers, has loved them for as long as I can remember.
I recently received Wheeljack part of the Transformers Prime Beast Hunters Deluxe Assortment for . The Transformers Prime Beast Hunters Deluxe Assortment features popular Autobots and Decepticons. They have new looks and even more powerful weapons to take care of business. There’s 16 characters in the assortment. I have to say, I love the NEW look! Not to mention, NEW weapons.
My husband and I went down memory lane the other night. My daughter came up to me and asked me if I would help her turn Wheeljack into super sporty car mode. We started talking about the old Transformers and comparing them to the new ones. You know, while the Transformers may have changed they have only become more awesome. They are still the same quality toys they have always been, I have to say Hasbro sure does know how to make toys that last.
My brother still has his Transformers from when he was a kid, everything still works, and they still look great. While the look of the Transformers might have changed a bit, I don’t think the quality of the toys is something Hasbro has changed at all.
I had planned on giving Wheeljack to my 11-year-old son. I was really excited about it, I knew my son was going to be sure excited when I gave it to him. However, Mattie freaked out when she saw it. I mean freaked, screaming from excitement, dancing around with it, look at her all proud holding her/her brother’s new Transformer.
Okay, so here I sit wondering who I give it to. I went back and forth, and finally I decided they could share. After all my two-year old, Mattie really watches out for her older brother and if she’s going to share anything with anyone it’s her big Bubba.
There’s nothing I enjoy more than watching our children interact with toys my husband and I used to play with as kids. Who doesn’t love Transformers, they’re awesome, and are great for children of all ages, boys and girls. I
Wheeljack looks just like his cartoon counterpart, when you look at them closely it’s amazing what an awesome job Hasbro has done. For those of you who don’t know, Wheeljack is a former member of The Wreckers. When it comes to taking care of himself, let’s just say he’s definitely qualified. Wheeljack is a fierce figure and is always ready to stand and fight the Depiction menace. He’s known for his speed and overwhelming force, oh and not to mention his NEW Disc-Launching Falcon Spear. Decepticons watch out, you’re not going to want to see Wheeljack and his new beast-hunting gear. His NEW disc-launching Falcon Spear will launch some major destruction if he runs into the Decepticons! .
In robot mode, you’ll notice that Hasbro has done an outstanding job making him look fierce just like he looks in cartoon mode. You’ll also notice his NEW Disc-Launching Falcon Spear, which give him a major advantage against his enemy.
When you change Wheeljack into “car mode”, well I don’t know what else to say besides he looks pretty darn sporty. I like the way Wheeljack looks in vehicle mode, his spikes look awesome, I think I’m going to have to get used to his new weapon, but I’m sure he will do some major damage with his new Falcon. I guess, what I think about the weapon doesn’t matter much, my kids love it. They love that they can actually use it, shoot something, grab it and shoot it again. I don’t know how many times I have been attached by the brutal force of Wheeljack’s new Disc-Launching Falcon. That and my daughter thinks it is fun to shoot mom in the leg and run over her toes all in one shot, leaving me laying on the kitchen floor with flat toes, lol.
Wheeljack’s colors are just right, the shape is amazing. I personally love the new weapon. Looking at it from a moms point of view, it’s much more fun for the children. They love it, they run around shooting everyone and everything with it. I think my poor teenage daughter, Catie gets the most of it. There’s nothing better that driving your big sister nuts, don’t you know!
My favorite of my children playing with Transformer is mom and dad helping my change them from car mode to robot mode and vice versa. My son has a pretty decent collection of Transformers, because of his cerebral palsy he’s not able to change them from car mode to robot mode or vice versa, but he sure will ask mom or dad for a helping hand.
Now, my daughter will be three in April she’s actually pretty good with the Transformers. She’s been playing with them since she was little, and she’s fiercely independent. While she still needs mom and dad help when changing Wheeljack, I know it won’t be too much longer. I watch her studying how we do it, then watch her try. She can move Wheeljack from car mode to robot mode, but from robot mode to car mode she still needs our help. Which is fine by us, we know it won’t’ be too much longer and she won’t need our help anymore. I’m going to eat up helping while they still need me.
Let’s face it Transformers are awesome, whether you’re a little kid or big kid they rock! Don’t be shy, swing by and check out the Transformers Website, visit their Retail Website, Like them on Facebook and Follow them on Twitter.
