Summer reading is vital in helping students retain information and skills learned the previous year. For many kids, however, picking up a book is the last thing on their mind after the school year ends. One way to get them excited about reading during those hots summer months is with personalized books from Wonderbly. These books take children on incredible adventures by making them the main character of the story. They are a wonderful choice for reading at home, long plane rides, at the beach, and everywhere in between.
Ordering a personalized book from the Wonderbly website is so simple. Once you choose a book, it asks for a little information such as the preferred language, child’s name, and gender. You also get to choose the character that looks most like your little one. The last part of the process allows you to write a dedication that will be printed on the first page for an even more personalized touch. You can then preview your personalized book before ordering.

We had the pleasure of creating two books and I chose The Little Girl Who Lost her Name for my daughter and Bedtime for You for my grandson.
In the Little Girl Who Lost Her Name, the character wakes up one day only to realize she has lost her name. On the journey to find it, she encounters animals and characters that each lend a letter to her name. At the end of the story, she has gathered all of the letters needed to find her name.

This book can also be created for a boy. While the premises of the story is the same, each book differs slightly since it is based on the letters of a child’s name. It has 22 pages and is recommended for ages 0 to 8.

Bedtime for You will bring the most magical dreams to your child. This 26-page personalized book features soothing verses, colorful pictures, and the child’s name throughout. Reading it at bedtime is the perfect way to spend some time bonding with your little one before they drift off to sleep.

I am incredibly impressed with the quality and I love how the story keeps my daughter engaged. She takes the book with her everywhere and she loves showing people that her name is in it. My grandson is too little to really enjoy his book yet, but I know his mom reads it to him each night.
Personalized books are not just ideal for reading on summer break, but they also make thoughtful gifts for birthdays, Christmas, and other special occasions.
