3 Ways To Enjoy Cardiff Cruisers | Cardiff Skate Company

by Jenn Brockman

Roller skates are a vintage item, and skating is a great activity to do. Now that warm weather is upon us, we can practice even more. Cardiff Skates are innovative skates with a unique wheel design to bring fun for the whole family. There are so many ways to enjoy Cardiff Skates indoors, outdoors, and everywhere in between.

The Cardiff Skate Company was started in sunny Cardiff, California. The company had an image and followed through on it. The world we live in now is run by technology and electronics, where gadgets are our primary source of entertainment. So, luckily the Cardiff Skate Company sent us a pair of Cardiff Cruisers to try out and to share with you, the readers, the experience we had with them.

  • Beginner’s Try

Skating is a super fun, but  tricky activity to get used to. Trying to learn your balance and get your “wheel legs” takes some practice. The Cardiff Skates were perfect for my young nieces, who still have trouble just walking straight ;). First, the Cardiff Cruiser (Small) fits most young adults, teens and children so it’s fun for everyone. The youngest to the oldest of the kids can give them a shot. Also, with unique wheel configuration, gaining balance is much easier. The unique design of the Cruisers helped the girls to enjoy a more stable and balanced ride. Third, the speed control discs helped to keep the girls from going too fast and lose control. My niece is practically a pro now.

  • Doggy Run

I love to take my Lhasa Apso, Zoe Brocolli, for walks and jogs. Sadly, I suffer from chronic knee pain and have to cancel our scheduled exercise time to time. I can us the Cardiff Skates to get her out and running while taking it easy on my knee and joints too. The Cardiff Skates hook on super fast and are easy to take off. So, when Zoe Brocolli is rearing and ready to go, I can quickly hook on the skates and head out the door. Also, Miss Brocolli is a pretty quick pup and definitely full of energy, with the Speed Control Discs and the safety break, I can be sure to stay safe if she decides to run a bit faster than anticipated.

The Velcro strap on top of the skate can also be removed to make hooking on and off even easier, which helps in case I need to bail out of the skates unexpectedly. The Cardiff Skates are a great product, and in this instance, my knees get a break, Zoe Brocolli gets her run, and we both get fresh air and quality Mom and Dog time together.

  • Skate Park

Since the skates are automatically adjustable, everyone in the family can use them. I may take them early in the morning for Piper’s run. My youngest nieces will use them and play most of the day wearing the Cruisers. And, the oldest of my nieces can take them with her to the skate park.

The skate park is a popular place for social gatherings and a great place for teens and tweens to blow off some steam on the rails and half pipe. The Cardiff Cruisers are great because my niece can grab them and join the fun at the park. All the features that the Cardiff skates offer can be taken advantage of by her and others that may not have any wheels. Also, my older niece has friends who are talented and accomplished skaters, so they may not need the Speed Control Discs. They can easily remove the accessory with an Allen wrench and enjoy them with a bit more challenge. She gets some good exercise, social interaction with her friends, and some much-needed exercise.

Cardiff Skates

In a world dominated by electronics and technology, physical and outdoor activities are dwindling. The Cardiff Skate Company obviously recognized that and brought the love for skating to the masses. I grew up in the country and we didn’t ever have a chance to enjoy skates. Well, now I live in the city and get to take advantage of the awesome Cardiff Cruisers every chance I get. The safety features, innovative design, and the adjustability of the Cardiff Cruisers, and all Cardiff Skate products are incomparable. I recommend them for any age, with supervision for the younger ones of course. It’s a wonderful way to get up, get hooked in, and get rolling. See you on your wheels!
