Every year our public school, teachers are spending their own money to help buy the supplies they need for their classroom.  Thankfully, SONIC realized the public school teachers needed a little extra help so they created the Limeades for Learning campaign.  The campaign is there to help public school teachers pay for supplies they need by providing funding.

If you didn’t already know Sonic Drive-In is having their annual Limeades for Learning campaign!  This is a philanthropic initiative which donates $3 million dollars per year to help support public school teachers all over the United States which couldn’t be possible without DonorsChoose.org.

DonorsChoose.org was founded in 2000 by a high school teacher from the Bronx who wanted to empower public school teachers across the United States to reach out and ask for materials and experiences for their students.

Supporting a classroom with DonorsChoose.org is super easy and there are teachers and students all over the United States that need help to bring their ideas for the classroom to life.  You can browse classroom projects if you don’t want to choose a classroom you can give without picking and your donation will be applied to classroom projects near you, and you can even help teachers who have been impacted by Hurricane Florence and are in need so they can rebuild their classrooms.

This isn’t a new campaign, SONIC has partnered with DonorsChoose.org to support public school teachers for 10 years!  Yes, and this year is the 10-year is the 10-year anniversary for SONIC’s Limeades for Learning program and Fall Voting campaign.

During the month of October, SONIC will donate $1 million to teacher projects and YOU get to decide how SONIC will allocate the money.  All you have to do is show your support for a public school teacher by heading over to SONIC’S fall voting page and vote for projects that matter to you.

Everything started on October 1, 2018, and the projects with the most votes at the end of each week in October will receive funding.  The remaining projects will get a chance the following week as the votes roll over.  Your vote will make difference and help impact public school and communities in a positive way, and you don’t even have to spend a dime.  I mean, unless you want to head over to your local SONIC Drive-In for a Limeade, lol.  Sorry, but all this talk about Limeades has me really thinking about jumping in the car and grabbing me one.

SONIC has donated over $10.4 million to our public school teachers, supported over 618,930 students and 20,000 classrooms with their Limeades for Learning campaign.

With your help and support, by 2012 SONIC’s total contributions to our local public school classrooms will be more than $20 million!  That’s HUGE, be sure and show your support for our public school teachers by taking a few minutes to vote at LimeadesForLearning.com.
