Honestly there are so many reasons to be glad you’re pregnant.  Even if things start rough, or continue the nine months looking into those little eyes suddenly make everything worth it.  Here are 15 of the MANY reasons to be glad you’re pregnant.

1.) Time – You have plenty of time to get everything done.  You might not feel 100% in the beginning, but chances are you’ll start to feel better after you hit the three months bump.

2.) It’s a great reason to spoil yourself – Take advantage of it and pamper yourself, nine months doesn’t last long before you know it you’ll be working double time.

3.) More attention – Suddenly you’re getting more attention from your friends and family.  Eat it up because it won’t be long before someone else is pregnant and getting the attention, LOL.

4.) Dress comfy – Being pregnant isn’t an excuse to not get dressed, but it’s an excellent excuse to dress comfortable.

5.) Learning new things – Being parents has taught you new things, and you might even find out you enjoy a few new hobbies.

6.) The prego glow – Most women feel great in the middle of their pregnancy; have great skin and a glow to match.  Enjoy feeling that way, you can only feel that amazing glow while you’re pregnant.  The middle of my pregnancy was by far one of the best times of my life because of the way I felt.

7.) Kicks -OMG, those kicks!  That’s enjoying to make your heart melt, and when you realize you have a little life, part of you, and that guy sitting next to you growing inside you.  It’s truly amazing.

8.) Imagining what you’re little one will look like – I think most of us are guilty or trying to figure out what color our baby’s eyes and hair will be, as well as what they will look like.  Attempting to imagine the beautiful baby.

9.) Seeing your baby for the 1st time – When you see your little one for the first time on the ultrasound monitor it’s enough to make your heart skip a beat.

10.) Growing a baby bump – Girl rock that bump, you should be proud of it!  There’s nothing like watching your tummy grow, its’ the one time in your life you’re happy to have a big belly or gain weight. Showing off your baby bump and when daddy talks to the baby. Oh, man there is nothing like that.  Knowing the two of you have created life together is amazing.

11.) Coming up with a name – It’s hard to find the perfect name, but when you do you’ll know, and it’s magical.

12.) Finding out or not finding out – Regardless of whether you decided to find out the sex of the baby or not it’s a nail-biting experience.  It’s worth the wait either way.

13.) Learning what unconditional love is – I think we all believe we know what unconditional love is, but until you look into your baby’s eyes for the first time, you don’t and can’t know what it is.  You truly fall in love, and the love is a different love, more powerful love than you have ever felt.

14.) Creating a stronger relationship with your spouse – Relationships don’t have to go back after kids… Remember to focus on your husband too and watch your relationship blossom and grow into something more powerful.  Ladies keep an open, honest, healthy relationship, and remember to keep the spark alive.

15.) You have time to plan & create a baby registry – There is plenty of time to plan everything from the baby’s new room to what workout routine you’re planning on following after the baby arrives. Shopping,  I had more fun than EVER before, and you’ll have plenty of time to prepare everything…  You’ll want to complete a baby registry somewhere like Walmart.com.  It makes life easy for everyone because typically there is a Walmart close by and the prices are often more affordable.  I found people used my Walmart.com registry more than any other one I created.

Being a mom comes with tons of responsibilities, a new list of things to do, but it also comes with more joy than I can put into words.  They say that fathers become a dad once his baby is born, but a mother becomes a mommy with pregnancy.  It’s true; there’s this incredible love you feel for this baby even before you meet them and it drives the maternal instinct that makes us a new mom.

The moment a child is born the mother is

We want everything ready and perfect, but we’re scared at the same time.  I remember being scared that I wouldn’t know how to take care of my child.  I was so new and never spent much time with children.  That’s where those incredible maternal instincts we suddenly have, take over.  It’s truly amazing how everything works from start to finish.

One of the hardest parts was preparing for my new baby.  I had no idea what I needed, and everyone tells me I need different things. It’s hard to remember everything, which is why I was so excited to learn that Walmart.com not only allows all moms to create a baby registry, but helps them with an impressive registry checklist, so you don’t forget anything important.

Be thankful you’re pregnant, after all there are many women who have to find some who agree to become a surrogate mother so they can have children.
