I love seeing her smile when she gets to help in the kitchen. She is always excited. When the foods that we make together are done, she has a sparkle in her eye that no mom could ignore. She giggles and wants to show everyone the finished product.

I adore lemon bars, they are like little buttery lemon pies. I grow lemons on my tree outside, but our lemons are so very sour (really off the charts). I am wondering if I should make this with Myer Lemons instead.
I love Lemon Bars, but I have never made them from scratch, only from a Box. I will definitely try this Recipe the next time that I make these, it is wonderful that you and your Daughter have such bonding time, I miss that with my Daughter and my Son whom are now grown and living their lives.

Squeeze all the juice you can out of three decent sized (medium) lemons. Honestly, I give it a good old taste test after I squeeze the three in, normally that if enough for my liking but every now and then I have to add a little extra.
