Have you ever been out somewhere and thought “If only I could take a picture of this moment?” That used to be me all the time in the days before cell phone cameras were ubiquitous. I actually used to carry a camera around in my car. Funny thing though, in the summer this wasn’t a great solution. You see cameras used to use this thing called film, which tended to go bad and get ruined if you left it in the car during the summer. But mostly this worked for me; I have all kinds of memories from random road trips and just scenic drives with the hubby. Hint: it’s not good to try and take pictures when you’re the driver, let someone else drive.
For some reason a lot of these pictures revolve around barns or just driving through the woods.
Well, make that roads that go through wooded areas, driving through the woods would ruin my car. Now though I am back to carrying a camera in my car. A cell phone is fine sometimes, but increasingly I find myself breaking out the good camera to catch the fleeting moments, a camera like the Olympus® OM-D E-M5 Mark II for instance. I keep my camera in the center console, in the bag. Out of sight, but not out of mind. Now when the hubby and I are out I can just pull out my camera, and start snapping. The bonus of a real camera is that it is much easier to get a good shot in the car than with my cell phone.
Especially with a camera like the Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark II with its 5-axis image stabilization and super high speed shutter I can get great looking shots. And the fully articulating 3 inch screen is a bonus because it lets me hold the camera at weird angles and actually get shots around the hubby’s head.
Another bonus right now is the “Travel Light with a Free Flight” Promo they have going on. If you purchase an OM-D E-M5 Olympus will give you a free flight. Check out the full rules and details at www.FlyWithEM5.com. So a brand new camera and a free flight to take some amazing pictures. Where would you go?
