Your Baby is Listening Thanks to BellyBuds® #Gift Guide
I had always heard that reading to your baby in utero would form a closer bond with him/her. I am sure that is true. Therefore, when I was pregnant with both of my children, I read books aloud, so they could hear me. It is strange, even today; both of my children love to read. With our modern technology, we now have a way of connecting with our children in utero through BellyBuds.
BellyBuds provided me with one of their Baby-Bump Sound Systems for the purpose of this review. Thank you BellyBuds.
Here is what is included in the BellyBuds Sound System:
1 Set of BellyBuds to share prenatal music and voices with your baby anytime, anywhere
2 Pairs of Adhesives to secure the BellyBuds to the unique and changing curves of your belly
1 Audio Splitter so you can hear the same audio as your baby
1 Storage Pouch to take your BellyBuds anywhere
Voiceshare Access Code (free membership to their voice-recording network).
It is remarkable to learn that your baby can hear sounds as early as 20 weeks and begin to make memories at 30 weeks. Researchers have discovered that playing music to your baby while in utero is very beneficial. Therefore, BellyBuds developed the Baby-Bump Sound System, which includes a specialized pair of speakers that gently adhere to the belly and play music & voices to a baby in the womb.
My niece, who is 24 weeks pregnant, tested the BellyBuds. She absolutely loved them. Since the buds are flat and with the help of the adhesives, she was able to secure the BellyBuds to her belly, connect the audio splitter to her smartphone and proceed with her regular schedule, while both she and her baby listened to music. The adhesive kept the BellyBuds securely in place through her normal movements, so she was not confined to lying down to use the product. It was fun watching the reaction of my niece’s baby as he/she responded to the beat of the music. It did appear to me that the baby was more active while listening to music with an upbeat tempo and his/her movements were more subtle when listening to classical music. The feature my niece appreciated most was the fact that the adhesives were reusable.
BellyBuds also offers a Voiceshare, which has a voice-recording network that enables you to record a story or song to the site. This story, song, or voice message is then converted to a file that can be played on your device. Even friends and relatives located in other parts of the country or world can record messages for your baby, as well. This is a convenient feature since I do not live close to my niece, but I can still send well wishes and read those stories to him/her.
In addition to the Voiceshare, BellyBuds has completed their first studio album of classical music, which is available. Choose Mozart for Mother and Child, Pop Tunes for Pregnancy, Motown for Moms-To-Be, or Rock-a-Belly. On the other hand, you can select Journey Into Pregnancy, which is a meditative series of intentional explorations for the expectant mother as she journeys from conception through birth. Pregnancy Music & Meditations.

I had something like this for our first child. It had a microphone so that I could talk to our baby (which I did….nonstop). Little did I know the impact — our kid is now a motor mouth!!
