How often do you visit the dentist?  I can honestly say I visit the dentist regularly, a lot of the reasons is because I have a constant reminder, my kids.  Every time I look at my kid’s brushing their teeth I think about their dental checkups.  Plus, when I was younger I had a lot of dental issues so I do my best to make sure my kids and I visit the dentist when we’re supposed to.  The last thing I want is for them to go through anything I had to.

Things To Know About Aspen Dental “A Taste of the Future” program

We all know how important dental health is, don’t we?  I think we do, but some choose to put off their trips to the dentist.  The people from Aspen Dental want Americans to stop for a moment and imagine what life would be like without teeth, seriously.  Food is awesome now, but what if you couldn’t chew it.  You’d have to drink it from a straw.  YUCK, right.. It’s a pretty darn good reason to start thinking about oral health isn’t it?  Really, oral health should be treated as a priority.  However, more than 150 million Americans did not visit a dentists, either because they couldn’t find care or they put it off and didn’t make it a top priority.

Which is why Aspen Dental is launching the “A Taste of the Future” program with the one and only NASCAR driver Danica Patrick.  Aspen Dental put Danica Patrick behind the wheel of a food truck with some interesting food called “easy-eats” which is regular food put into a blender to serve as a reminder for people to visit the dentist.  YUCKY, right.  However, I think they got their point across when Danica serviced these liquefied meals to customers who were expecting to get a meal they could eat.  As you can imagine it sure did capture their attention and Aspen Dental captured their reaction for an attention-grabbing look at the consequences of avoiding those important dental checkups.

You can check out these unique creations that were served up to unsuspecting customers in Charlotte, NC by Danica in the below video.  It’s a great reminder and wake up call to Americans – if you don’t want your meals served like the ones Danica Patrick’s Easy Eats food truck serves, thank do whatever you’re able to do visit the dentist.  Remember practicing good oral care today so you can maintain your future health. However, if it has come to the point that you are looking to get dental implants or have already undergone the procedure, be sure to know how to care for them.
