1. Whistler

When you’re ready to break out the snowboard or the skis, Whistler is the perfect place for your Canadian road trip. Come during the winter for some of the best snow peaks in the country. Or, if the snow isn’t up your alley, the sprawling 8,100 acres of resorts have numerous golf courses, hiking trails, and biking. If the outdoors isn’t in the cards for your road trip, Whistler has a variety of museums, cafes, and art galleries to peruse.

2. Niagara Falls

Even though the Niagara Falls also takes up part of the United States, the most notable of the Falls is in Canada. With a 178-foot drop, this series of three waterfalls is an adventurer’s dream during an epic vacation. From boating under the Falls to kayaking up close with the massive drops, you’ll love the attractions. If adventure isn’t for you, there are a variety of observation decks available for you to gaze at this natural wonder without worrying about getting wet.

3. Toronto

If you’re a fan of Canadian television, you probably already feel eerily at home in Toronto. This capital of Ontario is the most populated in the country. For time away from the city, visit the Toronto Islands for outdoor activities, sunbathing, or a dip.

For the dinosaur lover, there’s no better place to visit in Canada than Dinosaur Provincial Park. The park sits in the middle of Drumheller, or dinosaur valley. This amazing park is the perfect place to uncover a dinosaur bone or two. The first dinosaurs were found here over a hundred years ago, and paleontologists are still digging today. Come during the summer for tours, museum visits, and digs. If you’re a family or person that enjoys camping, bring your tent and sleep next to dinosaur bones from hundreds of millions of years ago.
