With a big family, I am always looking for great cleaning hacks to save me money and time. I’m all about saving a buck here and there; it seriously adds up over time. You can save just as much time if you manage your time wisely, and of course, you can save even more time with great cleaning hacks.
Cleaning Hacks to Save Money and Time This Summer
Here are a few great cleaning hacks to save money and time this summer:
1.) Remove deodorant
It never fails I always put on my deodorant before I put on my shirt. Yes, I end up with deodorant on my shirt all the time. Thankfully, there is an excellent hack to get deodorant off your shirt. Just grab yourself a dryer sheet and remove that stinking deodorant from your shirt.
2.) Tar from your car
I have never tried this, but my sister said she used a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser to get tar off her car. She said it worked like a rock star!
3.) Nasty soap scum
4.) To remove dirty soap scum the easy way grab you a Mr. Clan Magic Eraser and get to work. It’s my favorite way to get rid of scum because it’s so easy!
5.) Sanitize
6.) If you have things like toothbrushes, cups, brushes, sponges, etc. that you want to sanitize, just toss the into the dishwasher.
7.) Tea stains
Yes, you know your favorite tea maker? Yes, the stained one! Try using a Magic Eraser to remove some of the set in tea stains.
8.) Clean your oven
You can use a Magic Eraser to clean your oven. Fist just wipe it out with a damp a paper towel, then dip your Magic Eraser in warm water and clean your oven. I like using it on the glass on my oven door; it does such a great job. I do however keep my oven tidy if your oven is super dirty I don’t know for sure if it would work. I would however still give it a try.
Everyone will think you have a new potty
Yes, I’m around kids too much, lol. You can make your potty shine like new with a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. Use it to clean the outside of the toilet and if you have a ring, the Magic Eraser will help you get it out without any crazy scrubbing.
9.) Dang it, another scuff mark
It never fails, I get scuff marks on my floor all the stinking time. It’s everyone going in and out all day long that does it. Thankfully, a trust Magic Eraser will get them up.
10.) Give your silver a shine
Again, the Magic Eraser works wonder to remove tarnish from your used to be beautiful, but now it’s tarnished silver.
11.) OMG, not another mark on the wall
Grab yourself a Magic Eraser and get that mark off.
12.) Hair dye
You can use the Magic Eraser to help get hair dye off the sink and floor. It’s okay, we all do it, and now we can get it up the easy way.
13.) Yucky cooked on pots and pans stains
Magic Eraser to the rescue again.
14.)Rust spots
Use the Magic Eraser to remove rust small rust spots.
15.) Dirty hand and finger prints on walls
I have a white wall in my office, and it’s filled with little hand and finger prints. I thought I was going to have to repaint, but the Magic Eraser did the trick.
16.) Yucky mildew in the shower
My sister-n-law has told me several times to try a dryer sheet to remove mildew in the shower. I haven’t tried it, but she says it works great!
17.) Annoying sticker remover
You know that sticky stuff that gets left behind when you remove a sticker? Good news, no more crazy scrubbing or razor blades. Mr. Clean’s Magic Eraser will get the job done.

Yes, the Magic Eraser will clean windows too. It worked great cleaning the glass on my oven range.
20.) OMG, not nail polish
My daughter got nail polish on my new table. Since the Magic Eraser works for everything else I figured I would give it a try and IT WORKS!
21.) Don’t tell the hubs
FYI, I know this from experience! Do not tell your husband anything about the Magic Eraser, especially that it can clean the grill grates! You’ll likely never see Magic Eraser again. I just bought a pack of eight, went to grab one, and I couldn’t find the. I asked the kids, thought it was me, but it was my husband, and they were in his garage. I should have never told him! I don’t even know what all he uses them for in the garage, but I only ended up with four back!
22.) Get rid of the grease
Grab some Dawn Dish Soap to help you cut the grease! It works perfectly for everything from pots and pants to your hair!
23.) Pretreat clothing
Use Dawn to get rid of stains on clothing! Just apply just enough Dawn to cover the stain and let it sit a bit before putting it in the washer.
24.) Bye-bye fleas
Use Dawn to give your pets a bath! They will be squeaky clean, and it will help kill those darn fleas.
25.) OMG, ants too
Yes, Dawn can help you get rid of ants too! Just mix Dawn with water and spray the area where the ants are.
26.) Yucky armpit stains
Nobody likes armpit stains, right. Grab your Dawn dish soap my friend, hydrogen peroxide, and a spray bottle! Mix Dawn and hydrogen peroxide (1 tablespoon Dawn/2 tablespoons hydrogen peroxide) apply to armpit stains and scrub shirt together gently. Let the shirt sit for about 30 minutes or so and pop it in the washer.
You sure can use that handy dandy Magic Eraser for a whole lot of different things, and there is tons more! If you have not tried them yet do it, you’ll be glad you did! I know it’s become one of my favorite cleaning products. I’ve stopped buying several items because the Magic Eraser not just does the job but does it better!
There is nothing worse than getting ready to clean your home, do laundry, take a shower and realize you are out of something. I get so irritated when I have to run to the store because we are out of something. It’s usually right after I’ve made a trip to the store. Those “oops” moments never fail if I don’t stock up.
Between you and I, “Oops” doesn’t begin to describe the feeling I get lol. Which is also the reason I have learned to shop online? It just works better for me, not only can I stock up on everything I need but it’s the best way to shop. I can shop stress-free, make sure I am getting everything I need and even run and check if I need to. There are far too many “oops I made a mess” moments in my house not to stock up. Gosh, with four children, their friends, my husband, and gosh I can’t lie every once in a great while I’ll have an oops moment too lol. Okay, so it’s more than now and then, but not as much as the kids.
