Alright, here’s the good stuff now. When I say this recipe is easy, I mean this recipe is EEEEAAAASSSSYYYY! Here’s what you’ll need and the steps to make Pink Cinnamon Ribbons for your Pink October party.
Ingredients:
1 package cinnamon rolls with icing ( Each 8 count package makes about 16 ribbons)
Pink or red food coloring (gel coloring works best)
Steps:
Ribbons
1.) Open the cinnamon rolls and unroll so it is a long strip of dough.
2.) Using a knife or kitchen scissors, cut about a 3-4″ strip of dough.
3.) Twist the dough so that a crossed ribbon is formed and lightly pinch the overlap so it stays in place. (You can also roll the dough into a round strip.)
4.) Place ribbons on a prepared baking sheet about 1.5″ apart.
5.) Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 8-10 minutes, checking often to prevent burning.
6.) Once baked to a light golden brown, remove from oven and set aside to cool.
Icing
1.) Empty the icing from the package into a small bowl.
2.) Add a few drops of pink food coloring and stir until color is completely blended. (If using red, start with a single drop and add more if needed to reach the pink hue you want)
Pink Ribbons
1.) Take the cooled ribbons and dip the front side in the pink icing or spread icing with a small spatula to completely cover the front.
2.) Allow ribbons to sit and the icing to harden a bit.
3.) Serve and Enjoy!
