WP_20130322_004My husband and youngest daughter came by my work, so I decided to send them home with a few boxes so I didn’t have so many to lug to the car when I got off.  Everything was for the kids anyway, so why not send it with them you know!  Anyway, my daughter Mattie cannot seem to stay out of a box, she knows there is something in there that coul be for her.  I still don’t know where she gets that from (shhh).  Shawn, my hubby says its me.  I was pretty excited to let Mattie dig into the boxes anyway, and since I have to review the items it’s only right I be there when she sees everything.  She loved everything in the boxes, even things that belonged to her older sister Vayda, lol.

Do  you see that little grin?  That’s the grin of a two-year old that doesn’t realize she is going to have to give that to her big sister when she gets home, lol.  She’s so happy with what she thinks is her Novi Stars dolls, I tried to tell her they were for sister, but she wasn’t going to accept that answer.  So I figured I would deal with it when I get hom.  I asked my husband to please not allow her to open it, they were for Vayda.  Maddie received the Little Tikes Pillow Racer Unicorn, lol.  It’s so hard for her to share, she will but we often have to remind her that “sharing is caring.”  Amway, about this Nova Star doll we received, I had never seen a doll like this.  I’m used to Barbie, and maybe a Brat or two around the house.  This was totally new, and kinds of caught me off guard a little.  When I was talking to the wonderful sponsors, I told them how old the girls were and to surprise me lol.  Yes, they are really that nice.  There’s nothing I like more than running into awesome people like that.

I wasn’t surprised in a bad way I just had never heard of Novi Stars.  In my opinion they’re pretty cool.  They are invisible dolls, when they wake up they choose what they want to wear by choosing one of their fabulous skins.  One day they might be a zombie, the next day maybe decided to rock like a rock start.  It’s really a fun idea, and perfect for Vayda.

It’s pretty neat the Novi Stars dolls are totally see-though, even their hair comes off.  They look pretty funky without their hair, I have to admit.  Then again, wouldn’t it be nice to change hair just like that, and it be cool, normal.

Cici Thru came with her fabulous hair, a tail, two skins, a tail and she stands 11’ tall.  She is loads of fun, her skins are rubbery like, and her hair rocks!  Vayda loved it, of course by the time she got home from school Mattie had opened it, but gladly gave it over to Vayda when she found out she would have someone to play dolls with.

Right when I walked in the door from getting home, the girls begin to drive me nuts.  Yes, why do girls always want to take a bath when they get a new pretty doll?  I’m not sure I understand and for some reason I cannot get them to understand that it totally messes up their dolls hair, just wait until you’ve had it a little bit.  Nope, I gave that up long ago.  They don’t care what they look like, they want to take a bath with the every night for the next month, and that’s-that!  End of story, mom don’t you get it!  Do your girls do that too, or is it just mine?

The Novi Stars doll we received is named Cici Thru, and I just love her hair.  If I was a lot younger, I would definitely dye my hair pink.  I’ve always wanted to, but always worked in a professional setting where it’s just not “cool” to have pink hair, lol.  Her name is pretty neato as well.  Cici Thru, do you get it?  She’s see through, hence cici thru.  Yes, pretty cool isn’t it.  I tried explaining that one to my daughter, she said she understand but she doesn’t, lol.  She just didn’t want me to try to explain anymore, you know those blank looks that eventually turn into my mom is a total dork looks.  Yes, I stopped when I noticed her looking at me like that .  I don’t know who’s the bigger dork me for getting it, or her for not getting it.  I hate those looks, they really leave me with a confused feeling, lol.

Anyway, we have actually added to our Novi Stars collection.  Vayda has started to grow out of Barbie, and was looking for another doll, one that is a little older.  I have noticed when we head to the stores, and this was it.  She has been working around the house to earn money to buy her next one.  I was actually shocked when she asked me if she could earn money, she very rarely does that.  She must really like the Novi Stars, and I really don’t blame her they are great for her.  Vayda and Mattie are always playing dolls together, and that makes me happy.

Each of the Novi Stars dolls have some kind of special feature, which reveals the details about them.  As far as we know there is only ten of the dolls which are:

  • Cici Thru – Did you know she is 2,700 eons old, and her personality is clearly confident? .
  • Gail Lexi – 3,000 eons old and personality is totally transparent.
  • Sila Clops – 37,000 lunar month old and wants to light the way for her friends on earth.
  • Tula Toned – 5.5 trillion moon cycles old, wants to encourage girls on Earth to show their true colors.
  • Ali Lectric – 200 trillion light years, wants to show her Earth friends to think like a rock star.
  • Nita Light – 6000 light years old, and wants to design Earth fashion that look fabulous on everyone.
  • Mae Tallick – 13.7 billion years old, wants to be a bigger rock star.
  • Una Verse – 4 quadrillion light years old, wants to give earth an awesome space makeover.
  • Ari Roma – 3000 eons old, ha-ha, she wants to kiss a boy from Earth.

Each of the dolls have a Facebook, Twitter and YouTube page, they are neat and loads of fun.  I can see how they’re for older kids.  The recommended age group stars at 6 years old.

There is nothing in this world that makes me happier than to see my children spending quality time together, not fighting.  I have to say, I have really lucked out in that area.  My children are all pretty close, they spend time together, talk, go for walks, and even my 14-year-old daughter likes to play with the Novi Star dolls.  OMG, don’t tell her I said that!  Good think she doesn’t read my blog, lol.

I think the Nova Stars dolls are great, I will definitely allow my daughter to collect them all.  Expessionally if she is offering to do extra stuff around the house to save up for one.

Swing by and check out Novi Stars website and on Facebook.

Mitzi, Barbie looks really boring compared to this doll, doesn’t she? I’ve got to get one of these for my granddaughter, she will absolutely love it. Thanks for stopping by.
