Healthy snacks are important in our house Speaking of healthy snacks, look at my toddler Mattie in the picture above. Tell me that’s not a face that’s happy about her DOLE Fruit Crisps snack.
I have four children that I love dearly, and the last thing I want to do is pump them full of chips, cokes, or anything else that isn’t good for them. Another issue I have with my oldest daughter is eating breakfast. I have had the talk, it’s one of the most important meals of the day. She looks at me like I’m from a different planet and she doesn’t know what I’m talking about, lol. Typical teenage stuff, I guess anyway. Either way my kids eating healthy is extremely important to me, I don’t buy junk food. We have a movie night once a week, that’s when I buy junk food and let them enjoy some chips, candy and cokes. Other than that I will not have that type of food in my house.
Making sure my children eat in the mornings can get a little difficult. One of my children wakes up in a good mood ready to start the day. The other three it’s a fight to get them to brush their teeth, much less eat breakfast. Especially with my oldest daughter who’s not hungry, cannot eat that early in the morning or whatever she things up to get out of having something for breakfast. Which is why I’m so exited to share DOLE Fruit Crisps with you.
I had a little get together on Saturday. Some good friends, family, and yummy DOLE Fruit Crisps. I invited my sister-n-law (Marley), dear friends (Lisa, Amber, and Madison), daughters (Catie, Vayda, and Mattie), brother (Dennis), husband (Shawn), and my mother-n-law (Debra). It was nice to have everyone under the same roof, and not have the stress of the holidays. I sat up the table with all the products I received to have my DOLE Fruit Crisps party. There was some fabulous item, but I have to say I was most excited about trying the DOLE Fruit Crisps. I had already heard such good things about them from a girl at work, she eats them daily for breakfast.
Okay, now about this DOLE Fruit Crisps Party!
The kids hung out in the living room they never want to hang out with the adults. Don’t tell the kids, but we secretly enjoy some adult time. It’s nice, often reminds us that we are adults. The first thing we did is sit down at the table for some good old chit-chat time. My sister-n-law, Marley helped me plan some fun games. She’s a school teacher, so she always has something fun under her sleeve. We played two games:
Two Truths and a Lie – Maybe you’ve played this one. You write down three things about you, two are real, one is a lie, and everyone has to guess which one is the lie. It’s always an eye opener when you get them wrong, and you’re supposed to know these people really well. This was loads of fun, and most of us guessed wrong.
Best Time Saving/Healthy Snack – This was us warming up, getting ready to introduce the DOLE Fruit Crisps. I think it’s important for everyone to see the whole picture, and these little guys are an awesome way to save money and not feel guilty about the snack you just ate. Fun game as well, the guys came up with some really unique, healthy, time-saving snacks. Yea right, banana, apple baked chips… It’s not wonder there is two parents, lol. Yea, my wonderful husband is the one that said baked chips, lol.
There was also these awesome little card with 10 quick fixes for a busy women, and nail polish in the party kit. I handed out the cards, and every shared their favorite tip. We all learned a few great tips for us busy ladies like us.

I have to say my favorite part of the party was watching my oldest daughter Catie and youngest daughter Mattie were hanging out on the couch watch some Barbie movie, eating their DOLE Fruit Crisps. It was cute, they had it all planned out. They would each get a different kind and share. My two picky eaters, hanging out, having some sisterly time, and agreeing on something yummy. That never happens, all my kids like something at the same time, WHAT. I started looking for snow falling from the sky, something was up, lol. I don’t worry about my other two, they each anything that doesn’t eat them first.
I have actually been buying DOLE Fruit Crisps since the party. They make great snacks for the kids, and my oldest daughter Catie has been eating one for breakfast. They really are perfect size for breakfast, and much better than a muffin or something that she would grab from school. Catie says she likes them because they are the perfect mixture of fruits and crunchy oatmeal. That’s actually what I heard a lot, is everyone though the combination of the fruit and the crunchy oatmeal was perfect.
DOLE Fruit Crisps features a super yummy combination of all-natural fruit and awesome crunchy oat topping that is a perfect texture and does an amazing job satisfying those taste buds. You can find them in three different flavors which are
- Apple Cinnamon
- Apple Pear
- Peach
Which flavor was the best? I guess that would depend on who you asked. Catie would tell you peach, my youngest daughter would tell you apple cinnamon, my other two children would say all of them, me I love the apple pear, Amber likes peach, Lisa likes peach, my husband agrees with me, my brother likes apple, and my sister n law likes apple. So in the end, I don’t think there was an overall favorite kind. I think everyone was able to find something they liked, which is fabulous. I did not hear anything negative and I know Lisa is also buying them for breakfasts, she has a stash at the bank now, lol.
Let me share a little about DOLE fruit Crisps with you. First off, if you have not tried them I highly recommend it. I have been buying them for my daughter for breakfast ever since the party. Mom likes it because she’s eating breakfast now, she’s 14 and thinks its okay to skip breakfast. They also make an awesome snack, with loads of fun and less the guilt.
We had a lot of fun, hanging out over some DOLE Fruit Crisps. I was actually surprised that everyone liked them. Even my oldest daughter, Catie. Don’t get me wrong, she’s still picky and only wants the peach flavor. Which is totally fine with me , I prefer the Ample Cinnamon or the apple peach.
In the end Lisa REALLY loved DOLE Fruit Crisps this is her at work today, two days after the party. She has her own DOLE Fruit Crisps that she is munching on for breakfast, lol. I had to share, and don’t blame her they are great, they are the perfect quick fix when you don’t have time to prepare a mid-day snack, dessert, or breakfast if you’re Catie, Amber and Lisa. DOLE Fruit Crisps are not only the perfect quick fix, they are the perfect fix for your taste buds when their looking for something sweet that won’t leave you feeling guilty.
Another thing about DOLE Fruit Crisps is that they can be eaten cold or warmed up. It just depends on how you like your snack, dessert or breakfast. I personally think they are great just the way they are, but some of the girls at work do warm them up. Either way, they are fabulous and if you haven’t tried them I do recommend them. My favorite is the Apple Pear, but they are all yummy. I love the crunchy oat topping.
You can pick up DOLE Fruit Crisps in a two pack for about $2.12 in your canned fruit aisle at grocery stores nationwide. Be sure and swing by and check out DOLE Fruit Crisps on their website for more information.
“I wrote this review while participating in a campaign for Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Dole. I received product samples to facilitate my party and review, and a promotional item to thank me for participating.”
