Trying to lose weight? Stop doing these 8 things

by Jenn Brockman

Are you trying to lose weight but can’t figure out why it’s not happening?  I think most of us have struggled with weight loss at some point in our lives.  Some are more successful than others and I used to get so jealous of those people because I did everything I was supposed to and couldn’t drop a pound.  Well, I’m here to tell you that it wasn’t their fault, they didn’t get off easy, they were smarter than me because I thought I could cheat on things like sleep and still drop pounds.  The boy was I wrong.  I know just going to bed and sleeping for 8 hours night has kicked my weight loss into overdrive so I wanted to tell you if you are trying to lose weight you should stop doing these things:

Trying to lose weight- Stop doing these 8 things now

Attempting to lose weight?  Stop doing these eight things

I know just going to bed and sleeping for 8 hours night has kicked my weight loss into overdrive so I wanted to tell you if you are trying to lose weight you should stop doing these things:

1.) Don’t deprive yourself of certain things – My mom raised me to listen to my body and if it says it want’s a cheeseburger, large fry’s, coke and maybe an apple pie I should listen to tit lol.  NOT there is a point when you have to take control, but I don’t think you should deprive yourself of something.  Rather than depriving yourself try moderation because most people end up giving in if they deprive themselves of a particular dish.

2.) Low fat isn’t cool anymore – You used to hear about the whole low-fat diet, but the fact of the matter is those low-fat foods have too much sugar.  Besides all that healthy fats are good for your, try an avocado!

3.) Stop skipping meals – If your body thinks it is starving everything is going to slow down, which means you won’t lose weight and you’ll lack energy.  EAT for the love of avocados.

4.) Don’t forget most liquid has calories – I try to stick with water and smoothies, but I know some of you still want your alcohol, juices, teas, daily soda and so on but do you stop to consider what they will do to your diet?  I’m probably miss coffee the most, mostly for the caffeine in the morning and afternoon lol.

5.) Sleep – I have always had a problem sleeping the required amount of sleep, but here recently I had to make myself start sleeping more because not sleeping properly is the reason I wasn’t losing weight the way I should have been.  Here I thought everyone else was so lucky and that they had it easy and all I needed to do is go to bed lol.

6.) You’re not keeping track of what you are eating – Sorry, but this is a huge issue for me, so I know it will be for others. If I don’t track what I eat, I end up overeating.  Tracking what I eat has been another huge help on my journey.

7.) Thinking you don’t have to workout – If you want to drop pounds, you will need to come up with some workout plan and even toss in some weight lifting days.

3 water8.) Drink water – Seriously you need to keep your body dehydrated with water!  Filling up with water before a meal can also help you stay in better control of portions.  Did you know that drinking cool water can speed up your metabolism?  How cool is that right, so grab that ice water and drink up.

Did you know that fatigue is usually caused by dehydration?  Which is another great reason to keep yourself hydrated at all times.

the perfect water3 Water

Oh and before I forget, I was rambling about the whole not getting my caffeine thing, but I recently figured out how to get my caffeine without the coffee that I can’t help but put tons of sugar in – 3 Water!  Have you heard of it?

3 Water is often referred to as the Perfect water because 3 Water comes from a pure spring water, triple micron filtered and even ozonated for only the healthiest and best-tasting water.

3 Water has three natural benefits

  • Electrolytes – The water is infused with electrolytes to help replenish the body with much-needed minerals that are lost during the average day.
  • Caffeine – They say natural caffeine extracted from fresh coffee beans is a healthy alternative to coffee, and three water controls 50mg of natural caffeine.  See caffeine affects the brain in a positive way by helping one keep their mental focus and coordination.  Now, too much of anything is never a good thing, and I’m sure it can be abused by some, but the majority of us just want that quick pick me up.
  • pH Balanced – Yes, it’s also pHBalanced from neutral to slightly alkaline which can help your body fight off radicals and even flush toxins.

I know you are probably thinking about what I thought when I first learned about 3 Water – What in the world does that stuff taste like?  Good news is that it tastes like water, and you don’t have to worry about drinking your calories because 3 Water has NO calories!

So many people skip meals and then slow down their metabolism. I work with a lot of patients to change their dieting habits, and its always surprising how many people don’t even eat anything until dinner and then binge

reading this article is distracting in general and unprofessional to be specific! Mis-spells are distracting and make a reader wonder if the author really knows what they are writing about!!! Additionally when writing about the importance of drinking water and one says …”you need to keep your body DEHYDRATED”… the author loses all credibility!!!
