here are a few tips to help keep you healthy during the fall months.

Set a clear goal for the fall

Most of us have to start with a goal.  If goals are vague, you’ll probably have a harder time reaching them.  So be sure to have a clear goal in mind to help you stay healthy this fall.

Create a daily plan

Come up with a daily game plan.  Try to have fun with it daily, avoid keeping everything too routine, so you do not hit a burn out point.

Don’t give in

This time of year it is easy to go off the deep end and eat heavier foods and of course too many sweets, but you do not have to give in.

Don’t be a couch potato

Get up off the couch, it’s easy to want to eat rich foods and lounge around during the colder months, but don’t give in. It’s just as important to be up and active during the fall and winter as it is in the spring and summer.  You don’t have to go outside to stay moving, find other ways – gym, standing desks, DIY projects, tending to household chores while watching your favorite TV show, etc. However, don’t forget to get outside and take advantage of the beautiful days.

Get plenty of sleep

Sleep is essential for tons of reasons but did you know not getting enough sleep can actually increase your chances of catching a cold?  Be sure and get enough sleep at night.

Consider probiotics

Probiotics can also help decrease your chances of catching a cold, so be sure and eat foods with probiotics like Gold Emblem Aboud Sweet & Nutty Probiotic Trail Mix or consider taking a supplement.

Stay hydrated

It’s easy to drink plenty of water in the warmer months but remembering in, the colder months isn’t as easy.  Find a way to make sure you are staying hydrated it is critical for your body to stay hydrated all year.
