Beauty “secrets” are really a dime a dozen. There are lots of tips and tricks to smooth, firm, and clear skin to get that healthy, youthful glow. I am guilty of trying some of the craziest ones, like toothpaste on a zit and a soft nail buffer to exfoliate. Needless to say, they didn’t work for me, but that didn’t discourage me. I had the opportunity to give Derma e Firming Moisturizer a try, and I fell in love with it. It also made me wonder if there was a little more I could do to help my skin look healthier and smoother. Along with the incredible Derma e Firming Moisturizer, I found 8 tricks for naturally smoother and firmer skin that have been tried and true by yours truly. Here’s what I found to be helpful, and I also want to fill you in on the incredible Derma e product that I use every morning and evening that has boosted my skin’s firmness.

  • Astringent

I have used harsh astringents since I was a teenager, and to be honest, it leaves my skin so dry that it’s almost painful. Instead, I used lemon juice mixed with rosemary, honey, and witch hazel. They each have astringent properties, help the pores tighten, and gently exfoliate the skin. It leaves my skin soft and smooth.

  • Healthy Foods

It makes sense that a healthy body starts on the inside. When we put healthy, nutrient-rich foods in our body, it will show on the outside. A diet that has plenty of foods with antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals helps the skin remain clear. Fruits and vegetables are your best bet for healthy skin, while you should avoid foods high in sugar. Also, don’t forget to stay hydrated. Drink 8–10 8-ounce glasses of water each day to keep those toxins and impurities from clogging up your pores.

  • Face/Neck Exercises

Your face is just like the rest of your body; it’s full of muscles. So, it makes sense that we should work it out just the same. There are some face exercises that firm different parts of your portfolio and even your neck. Here are a few that I do each day, a few times a day. They are easy, and I usually do them while I watch TV or even now as I write this.

  • Hold eyes open as wide as possible, for as long as possible, until eyes begin to water. It targets the muscles around the eyes and the forehead

  • Inhale, hold the breath, and puff out the cheeks as fully as possible. Hold for about 30–60 seconds. This helps to work the cheeks and jowls.
  • Tilt the head back, tongue to the top of the mouth, smile, and swallow. Repeat for about 30–60 seconds. This tightens the neck and around the lips.

** For any exercise regimen, be sure to contact your doctor before beginning to be sure there are no complications.

  • Cucumber

We’ve all seen it on movies, commercials, magazines, etc. But cucumbers have wonderful tightening and swelling-reduction properties. For your whole face, mash up half a cucumber and squeeze out the juice. Rub the juice into your face and allow it to dry, then rinse off with warm water and pat dry. Of course, like the ads, cucumber slices are great for puffiness around the eyes, as well as crow’s feet and dark circles.

  • Sunscreen

The sun causes wrinkles and sagging skin. Apply sunscreen regularly to protect your skin and lower your chances of skin cancer and other sun damage.

  • Massage

Massaging the face and neck promotes tightening and smoothing of the skin. Use aloe vera to help soften and tighten the skin during the rub.

  • Derma e

Derma Tightening and Firming Cream is a great addition to your daily skin care regimen. I had the chance to try it for 10 days, and I can see a total difference. I dab on it just a bit in the morning and lightly work it into my face and neck. I can put it on under my make-up because it is smooth and light, not like those clumpy ones that feel like glue on the face.

derma e Firming DMAE Moisturizer

I have a problem with other skin creams because they cause me to break out because they clog my pores. DermaE is light and tightens, smooths, and firms without clogging my pores or causing breakouts. My skin tends to dry out through the night, and I am often woken up by painful, dry skin. Since I have used Derma e Skin Firming Cream, I feel the moisture in my skin and my face quenched throughout the entire night.

With all the different tips floating around, I wanted to add some tips that I use and that have worked for me. I also fell in love with Derma E and the Skin Firming Tightening Cream, and I can’t wait to try all their other products.

I love facial cleansers, but when it comes to moisturizers, I get an allergic reaction and can’t put it on my face. I wish there was something to hydrate and protect my skin on my face.

I’ve read many positive reviews of this derma E, maybe I should give it a try. But I agree with the fact that no chemical can sustain the youthfulness of the skin as well as fruits and exercises.

I’ve seen some wacky tips too.I try to take vitamins, drink plenty of water and use sun screen. Beyond a certain age, it goes downhill no matter what. The younger you start taking care of your skin, the better off you’ll be.
