I’m sure most of you have heard of the BattleFrog Obstacle Race Series designed by the U.S. Navy Seals, right? If not we’re going to fill you in and provide you with all the details. I’m sad we live so far away from this location, but I will be on the lookout for one near me. I think they’re planning on having one a few hours away and this would be worth the drive, especially to watch my kids take part in the TadPole Dash.
- TadPole Dash – Created for kids 4 to 8 the TadPole dash is400 meters, loaded with 8 + obstacles, and will be a new experience of self-discovery. Kids will learn they can take on these new challenges while becoming “Fit for the Future”, and of course getting muddy is AWESOME!
NavySEALs run the TadPole Dash with the kids! They are there to motivate, entertain, and help kids over the tough spots. It will inspire them to not give up, teach them about teamwork, and always giving your best. It’s never too early to give your kids the gift of loving fitness and a healthy attitude for completion. Learn more about the TadPole Dash here.
- BullFrog Mile – Kids ages 8 to 13 will run the BullFrog Mile and test themselves on 10+ full-size obstacles the top competitors tackle, but with a manageable distance of one mile. Kids will love the mud crawls, slip and slides, climbing walls, and their military fitness exercise “boot camp.” Navy SEALs will again be there to motivate during the course while kids work with other races as an individual on a team. This mile combines all the right challenges without leaving out the fun.
- BattleFrog 8K – The BettleFroz will be the total test for people from all walks of life and fitness levels 13 and up. Each step will be inspired by SEAL operators and will prepare them to do anything, anywhere, anytime. This 8K course will take competitors through 22+ SEAL inspired obstacles and will use air, land and water to test your body, spirit and mind.
What should you expect after the run?
- When competitors cross the finish line they will receive a banana, protein bar, water, and if they are 21 and older they’ll receive a celebration beer.
- There will be a full festival after where wine tasting, music, and adults can purchase beer.
- Don’t leave without a professional portrait from the portrait station for your free photo. It’s going to be perfect down the road for a #ThrowbackThursday photo. The portrait photos will be posted in a album on their Facebook Page, it may take up to a week to get all the photos up.
Where: Old Bridge Town Raceway Park Inc, 230 Prension Rd., Englishtown, NJ 07726
If you’re not able to attend the race in NJ be sure to look and see if there will be one in your area because they will have races throughout the country on different dates.
