All opinions are my own.Working out is one of the hardest things to fit into my busy schedule. Don’t get me wrong, I love working out – challenging myself, accomplishing my goals, and the euphoric feeling after the workout is over – but after pulling mom duty all day long, I feel like I’ve already worked out. Besides, winter months tend to be the least appealing for me when it comes to working out; I’d much rather hibernate in my house with some comfort food than go for a jog or hit the gym.
But with winter weather winding down and spring right around the corner, it’s time to come out of hibernation and find some time to work out! Here are 3 reason why:
1.) The weather is perfect. All around the country, frigid temperatures are moving out and milder ones are on their way in. Make the most of these beautiful days before the heat of summer sets in! So strap the kids in the stroller and hit the jogging/walking trail!
2.) The spring workout fashions at Dick’s Sporting Goods are gorgeous. Last week while I was at DICK’s Sporting Goods® picking up some soccer equipment for the daughter, I found myself lured into the women’s department. There were so many cute leggings, shorts, and shirts to choose from, all at affordable prices. There were even a few on sale. I went in with a list of things I needed for my daughter and came out with a ton of stuff for myself. Every mom needs to shop, right?
This purple and navy running set is one of my new favorites. The shorts are the perfect length and the shirt is so soft, I often find myself wearing them even if I’m not working out. But that’s the great thing about women’s workout fashions at DICK’s Sporting Goods – while they are perfect for working out, many of them are also great for running errands, casual day at work, or just about anywhere. They’re as fashionable as they are functional.
In fact, I paired these black leggings and purple shirt I bought at DICK’s Sporting Goods with ballet flats and my black bag the other day when I went to a meeting at my daughter’s school and I don’t think anyone even knew they were workout clothes! I guarantee that I was the most comfortable parent on campus.
If the skimpy summer fashions on the horizon aren’t motivation enough to start working out this spring, the women’s workout fashions at DICK’s Sporting Goods should be.
3.) Everyone deserves better health and some “me” time. I know as well as anyone how hard it can be to find time to work out, but in the time of nature’s rebirth and renewal, it’s time to recommit to yourself. Carve a regularly scheduled workout time into your family schedule, find some time while the kids are at school, or, even better, bring your kids along. There’s no better way it instill a healthy lifestyle in your kids than to show them how to live healthy from a young age. I bet they’ll enjoy the exercise and fresh are as much as you do!
