Perfect Movie For The Holidays – Delivery Man In Theaters #DeliveryManEvent

collage of pictures from the movie Delivery manWhat do you get when you have Vince Vaughn, Cobie Smulders, and Chris Pratt together?  One of my newest favorite movies, Delivery Man!  I cannot get over how much I like this movie, I love the characters, and emotions that you feel when you sit down and watch Delivery Man!  I’m going to let you know right from the start Delivery Man Gets Two Thumbs up from me!  I love the far out there humor, but the real emotions that you feel when you watch Delivery Man!  Sitting down and talking with Vince Vaugn I realized how much he used his feeling from his everyday life and put them into the movie.

vince vaughn in delivery man movieI don’t know what your plans are this weekend, but mine are to take my family to watch Delivery Man!  If are not already aware, it is in theatres today – November 22, 2013.  My family has been listening to me talk about this movie non-stop since my recent trip to LA for the Red Carpet Premier for Delivery Man!  Which I have to say thank you to Disney for paying for my trip, and Marshall for inviting me.  They have giving me the opportunity to come back and share my 100% honest opinion with my amazing readers.

Delivery Man Movie ImageSo basically, let’s cut to the chance…  There is no need for a review here!  Hands down one of the best movies I have seen in a long time!  There is so much emotion, one minute you’re laughing, the next you want to reach through the screen and give one of the characters a hug.. My favorite thing about Delivery Man is that its real emotions, mix with the humor of a man who has 533 kids!  I mean really who has 533 kids, and doesn’t know about it until YEARS later?  That’s the humor of it all, but the emotions that you feel during the movie are because they are real emotions many parents have felt.  Whether it’s the fear of handing a situation, the joy of helping your child, or the feeling that comes over you when you see one of your children hurt and all you want to do is just take it away!

There is this handicap boy that is one of the 533 kids, and that part steals my heart.  I’m not sure if it is because I can related to that feeling, but I can tell you I remember feeling with my step son.  I didn’t have any children, and here is this handicap boy that I didn’t know how to act around.  What do you do, what do you say, how do you do it.  I remember those feelings, and that’s a lot of the reason I love this movie so much, it’s very relatable for me.

delivery man movie 2I’m not going to tell you a whole lot about the movie, there’s plenty of trailers for that, and I think you should go watch it.  So here’s a brief rundown of it, basically David Wozniak (Vince Vaughn) ends up with 533.  How was he to know that 20 years later his anonymous donations to the fertility clinic would come back to haunt him, or tell him he was the father to 533 children.    20 Years, and years later all of his kids come together because they want to find out who their father is…  Let the lawsuit begin…

Picture of all 533 kids from Delivery Man Movie533 children?  What would one do with that many kids?  Do you think it is even possible?  How in the world as an actor would you prepare for such a role?  If you read our recent Interview with Vince Vaughn I’m sure you already know that Vince sounds like an amazing father, and a lot of what is in this film is real.  The emotions that you feel, are emotions that Vince was able to relate to his own life, and role as a father.  How do you feel when your kids hurting?  What would you do if you had the chance to help your son change his life forever?

delivery man8Vince did such an amazing job taking a movie that’s so far out there, I mean really 533 kids, and bringing it back in do viewers can related to so much of it. Then you have David’s amazing friend Chris Pratt, who is just full of fun.  I don’t think there is a moment he is on the screen that I didn’t laugh or cry.  Cobie plays the perfect girl who just want her guy to grow up, and get a life.

The movie really gets movie once Vince begins to meet his children.  Chris Pratt, who’s acting as Vince’s lawyer, and BFF warns David to stay away from the children, but of course David just want to see what one of them looks like.  He ends up helping one, and moving on to the next, slowly building relationships with them, learning what it is to be a dad, finding out how much he loves being dad, and eventually… Oh, don’t you wish I would go on?  I would but I really want you to see this move from start to finish, I don’t want to be the one to tell you everything!

delivery manFollow David on his journey that leads him to discover who the real David Wozniak is, but even more importantly learn who he is with 533 kids, and what kind of father he can be!  It’s totally worth watching, I honestly cannot think of a better movie for the Holiday season than Delivery Man!

Chris Pratt acting as a lawyer in Delivery ManEveryone did such an amazing job with their roles… If you went to see Delivery Man today, than leave me a comment and let me know what you thought…  If not go see it, take the family I think you will agree – Delivery Man hits the spot this time of year!

If you didn’t read it, be sure and read my recent post – 8 Things I Found Interesting About Vince Vaughn.

What I liked best:

I loved that I was able to relate to the way Vince felt.  I have been there one moment you’re not a parent, the next your are the parent to 533.. mine was only 3, but it was socking, I didn’t know what to do, and I was scared… Being a stepson, from one day to the next has changed me in more ways than I would have imagined and I think this movie is a great example of that.. Plus, it’s funny and I love Vince Vaughn..

I have posted tons of trailers about Delivery Man, if any of them have made you smile or made you laugh you will enjoy this movie!
