It is also discreet so pre-teens and teens no longer feel embarrassed about undergoing orthodontic treatment. Since Invisalign aligners can be removed for eating, drinking, brushing, and flossing, children find them to be very convenient.

Those who play a musical instrument or contact sport don’t have to stop when they get Invisalign. They can simply remove their aligners and continue their extracurricular activity. It’s clear that Invisalign will not disrupt a child’s life or put restrictions on what they can and cannot do.

Invisalign treatment plans are also completely computerized. This means, children will know exactly what they can expect and how their aligners will correct their misaligned teeth, crooked teeth, overbite, or other issues. Metal braces are often trial and error and do not give a clear indication of projected results.

In addition, Invisalign doesn’t require as many visits to the orthodontist as traditional metal braces. Children with Invisalign can wait about six weeks in between visits. Better yet, Invisalign treatment plans are typically shorter to complete. While treatment times vary from child to child, one year is the average time.

My daughter is going to need braces soon, but she’s been balking at the idea because she’s afraid the brackets and wires will be painful and get her teased at school. I heard about Invisalign, and it sounds like a great option, and I really appreciate that it can be removed during activities and eating. It’s great to know that it can handle overbite issues as well, and I’ll be sure to discuss the option with my daughter and with a dentist.
